Some of you may have seen my thread in GD, but I figured I'd post up the photos here.
A few days from a trip to Texas for tx2k. I met up with a couple of college buddies in Auburn AL and we drove to Houston dragging a 760hp EVO with a 600hp grand cherokee. I've never really shot any sort of motorsport before, but I was there for 4 days, so I had plenty of time to play around with technique. All in all I came home with about 1300 photos and 45min or so of video. Video pretty much sucked, as I'm not much of a video guy, but I was happy with the photos. I narrowed it down to around 300 keepers, but there is only so much variety in drag racing. So I cut it down to about 100 favorites. Here are some of those. Some really quick street cars in here along with the three quickest GT-R's in the US. Let me know what you think, and as always, any critique is welcome!

The conditions were just right between the low sun and the stadium lights to be able to over expose the sky by only a stop and have the car and track underexposed by a stop. Then just a little burn and dodge in lightroom. It's the same as the one just below it with the exception of they were about 3 min apart and the sun was lower, so there were no yellow rays shooting out everywhere. |
