Overall love it. Miss the 6 speed Gas Gas transmission sometimes, but that's really only whenever I'm on a road.

Electric start is tits, when you're gassed and in a fucked up spot, it's so nice to hit the button and go.

Getting out for my first ride this year tomorrow. Got a big rental remodel done this week that I have been slow walking and grinding on for the last couple months.

Did a bunch of bike maintenance today. Washed, plush mousse and Shinko 216 installed on the rear, rekluse core manual clutch installed, rk teck 0-10k head installed, put on a axp extreme skid plate, changed the tranny oil, clean air filter, lubed the wheel bearings.

I’m excited to see how the head and clutch do. Ripped it for a mile or so around the place today on my orchard roads and it pulls hard and the clutch feels great. We will see how it does in the woods tomorrow.

Sure matches the terrain!  I've been on trails where I wished I was riding something like that.    Seems like it must have a very small gas tank.   What's your range with it?

It holds 4L, so just over a gallon. Range varies depending on the riding, this ride was 32 miles and I still had .2L in the tank when I got back, so 32MPG. I've seen as low as 25MPG when spending a bunch of time hitting hill climbs and nearly 37MPG when doing a lot of logging road cruising. I always carry extra fuel, either in a backpack or a tank bag. Between the tank and the easily carried extra fuel, you can go farther than your legs will last, about 40 miles of this terrain is when I start to tap out. The guy I was riding with a couple weeks ago up here was wishing he had one instead of his KTM 200 after we had to cross a few downed trees.

Took my brother on his first adv ride, he's 6'3" and looked comical on my wife's old F650GS. It had just stormed and the forest service road was a pretty good representation of most of the dirt / gravel roads here in western VA / eastern WV. Plenty of rocks, ruts and a few slick spots. He's ridden a dirt bike once. Took the Blueridge Parkway back home. Had so much fun he bought himself a '22 KLR adv with low miles and lots of farkles the next week.

Yeah it's the Sting R MX4.  Having a blast so far.  Been wanting another bike for awhile but no desire to ride on the street anymore.  Ran across this style of bike and it was a great fit for my wants and purposes.

I think in 5 or 10 years they will be pretty amazing.  I've always loved the small, light bikes (rode a DRZ400 for years) so the electric really appeal to me.  There is a pretty big aftermarket for them already but I don't have any desire to drop 10k into a 5k bike like some of these guys.

The Stark Varg has lots of HP and seems like a pretty nice bike from what I've seen/read.  It's 13k but seems a much better option than spending a bunch of money upgrading a cheap bike.

I see an Alta Red on the local FB regularly. I'd love it, plenty of range to get to from work, quiet, more than enough power. Pretty sure it would be fine to follow the kids in the woods. But at $9k I'll keep dreaming while I ride $3k bikes.

My 23' YZ125X. I love this bike but I'm thinking of swapping out for a dual sport. I think I'd get more use out of a DS with all of the rural dirt roads around me.

@JackRebney what is that? I guessed it was a Sherco but searching doesn't find a match.

I ride mostly single track in the mountains and have a bunch of vintage TY trials bikes. I sold my KTM woods monster and am looking for a replacement. I'd really like a Beta 250RR or XT but both have had main bearing issues for the last few years so I'm not buying yet.

obligatory picture of the current herd.

It's a TRS Xtrack. Trials bike with a bigger tank and a crappy seat, even has electric start. I'm also looking really hard at getting a Beta XT and plating it.

Just got done with a ride on my Beta 390 rrs. Had a freaking blast. Getting to know it very well with close to 30 hours on the clock. If there's a better DS bike for NW Montana, I want to know about it.

I'd love to have a plated XT for something a little more relaxed, and because I have yet to ride a modern 2 stroke.

I think this counts because you can see my fender.  Did a 25 mile loop yesterday. Started as a ten mile easy ride minimal gear, no water just to shake the cobwebs off. Felt good and just kept pushing, today my back hurts and my knee is fucked. The ride this afternoon is gonna be gay.

East side of hood river. Literally taken on the back side of this bald knob called bald butte.  I can ride right from the house, I rode from the staging area yesterday though because it’s only 5 minutes away and pits me right on trails I wanted to ride.

Yes, post canyon, binns hill, Kingsley. It’s not as good as the east side. No real trail maps other then one 10 ish mile loop for the east side but there are a couple hundred miles.

Thanks! But taking great pics in the National Forest is almost cheating.

Went out in search of snow last weekend. Trials tires suck in the snow, I could get around ok in virgin snow, but in compacted tire tracks from other vehicles it's like riding on slicks, on ice.  It was easily a gorgeous "5 mountain day", but the wind was 30mph+, didn't stay up there long to enjoy the view.
