Been catching up on the Strike Back series.

Watched the original Brit series weekend before last and the first Cinemax season this past one.
24 for Adults.

I have the next season pre-ordered, hopefully I'll get it in a couple of weeks.

The Game (1997) on Criterion Blu-ray. Starring Michael Douglas.

Great movie! Looks good as well. If you like drama/suspense and haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. Barnes and Noble has all the Criterions on sale right now as well.

Barquero starring Lee Van Cleef.  Pretty decent western about a river barge operator (Cleef) and townfolk against a gang of bandits.

what the hell is the deal with black people needing to talk durring a movie
I went to the 1pm showing and it was just me and a black couple in the theater and they did not shut the fuck up the whole time, and even took a phone call ( ringer not turned off of course )

A friend loaned us Tower Heist. I had no expectations of the movie, in fact i thought it was going to suck. But it wound up having some solid laughs.

Wanderlust - a Jud Apatow comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston, predictable and weak
Battleship - cool special effects, weak story.  best part was the old timers getting back into the fight w/ the battleship
Eight Men Out - a good period piece about the Chicago White Sox scandal, throwing a World Series, in the early 1900s

Young Mr. Lincoln - 1939, John Ford directed, starring Henry Fonda.  About Abe Lincoln starting his law career by defending two brothers accused of murder.
I like Ford's direction style and Fonda does a good job as Lincoln

Game of Shadows? (Or is there a different one I don't know about?... I haven't seen the new BBC variants.)

If the former, I really enjoyed it as well... as much as or more than the first one.

Whoops! Yeah, Game of Shadows. Sorry.

And yes, I turned to my wife when it was over and said "I liked this more than the first one" (Which I enjoyed a lot as well). They really did it right for the sequel.

I recently watched Prometheus and Open Range.

Open Range is good enough, it's almost worth buying.

Prometheus - the more I think about it, the more I like it.  I was reading a bunch of the fan web sites last night.    I was a bit surprised how confused some people were over things that were fairly self-evident to me.  There were other things I hadn't noticed, too.  Still, after some discussion, everyone figured it out and they all seemed to like the flick.  For me, if I am still entertained by and am thinking about a movie a day or two after seeing it, I know it was good.  I'd like to see it again.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - starring Steve Carell and Kiera Knightly, a funny/sweet take on TEOTWAWKI

Led Zepplin: Celebration Day - reunion concert from 2007 w/Plant, Page, Jones, and Jason Bonham.  Plant's vocals are a little weak, but the show really rocks!
if you are a Zep fan check it out

The Sessions.

I finally got to see Helen Hunt full frontal.
While not bad as a whole, she is past her prime.

Oh, yeah: Except for the projectionist and maybe any other employees of the Theater I think I was the only one there.

I watched Lovely Molly on netflix the other day.

If you like creepy horror films I recommend watching it.

It doesn't explain everything in the end, so I also recommend you read some plot summaries to fully understand the story after you watch it.

500 Days of Summer
I like Zooey Deschanel, she's cute and she often takes normal roles and makes them into interesting characters.
Joseph Gordon-Leavitt has a career that will never die, disarming boyish charm with an underlying current of "I'm pretty fucking serious"

I last watched the Worst Car in the History of the World episode on Top Gear.  A bit disappointing.  I was hoping they'd come to a more objective and less tailored and opinionated conclusion.
"Oh look, it's another prank on Richard Hammond! We're awesome!"

Tired.
