Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't seen anyone talking about these.  Kits to bring down the size of a Kayfun, so it's not so tall.  Ideal for certain mods, IMO.

Some Googled pics:

Anyone have one?

I have used one although not that kit. I run my kayfuns pretty hot and it did impact the flavor in a negative way. I suspect that at the voltages most people run they'd work well.

Ooooo I need that for the 18350 boxes I made.  Kayfun sticks out too much.

What ohms was your coil, and what voltage/wattage were you running it at?  I'm at 1.7ohms on my regular fullsize.  12ish watts.

Yeah, that's why I'm interested.  If the Hana Modz clone becomes my daily use device, I want a shorter Kayfun to throw on top of it.

The setup I tried 'em out on was running 20 watts. I was trying to cut down on the overall height of the XPV's. At that wattage, the normal size kayfun's taste awesome. On these, it's hard to explain, but the taste was just off with the shorter chimney. I didn't try them on other setups or lower wattage though, but I suspect they'd be fine there.

Not sure if it's the same size as the drop kit but I have been using the SOV nano kit and the only difference I've noticed running 1-1.6ohm coils is more refills more offen. The chamber is the same size as the full size it just comes with a lot shorter chimney on the top chamber cap. Love it if I'm going out and don't want to be as obvious in public.

I've got the SOV nano top cap on the way to shorten it a little bit more-

Hmmm.  Interdasting.

Well my whole want for this thing, is to use it on a DNA30, so maybe I will have to rethink that.

Nice.  I didn't think about the cap.  Makes it even smaller?  If I get a kit, then I need one of those, too.

This is my shit! I'm always looking for a way to mod a Kayfun. Here's some info on these:

Mini kits:

mini kit + Kayful Lite/KFL+/Russian 91% = awesome (because you can fill it up all the way from the bottom).

mini kit + Clone Kayfun 3.1 = sucky because if you start filling from the fill valve all the time it WILL leak. And if you don't fill from the top you can barely fit any juice in the 3.1 with a nano kit.

mini kit + Real Kayfun 3.1 = great, as long as your fill valve doesn't start leaking.

Tips: You can mix and match the rings. One mini ring, one regular ring and you have a shorter kayfun but with prety good capacity. You can also stick with the regular length chimney if you use the regular drip-tip (I like the taste of the regular chimney better on some juices).

__________________________

Quartz mini kits:

Nano = the suck. Don't even bother. You can fit like 0.2ml in the tank. It's so tight even the bubbles get stuck on the side of the tank and won't move!
regular = on order for me. Should be better and in theory taste better because it's glass. Not expecting great capacity out of this one either (the glass is like 2mm thick).

"Custom" top cap from FastTech: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1660500

Suck. When mixed with a regular (non-mini) ring on the bottom capacity is decent. With a mini ring it's back to almost zero capacity. These are also extremely heavy, and the top isn't hollowed out like you would think it would be for extra juice capacity.

________________________________

Completely clear tanks:

If you like the look, they're great. Come in mini and regular versions. There's 22 and 23mm versions (tip: 23mm is this one: https://www.fasttech.com/p/1570900  and they just came out with a mini version which I haven't tried out yet). I like the 23mm on my kayfun 3.1's. Had some trouble with dry hits when I used the 23mm on my KFL/KFL+/Russian 91% for some weird reason. The 22mm (normal) ones work great. Invest in clear o-rings if you want a more streamlined look.

Some pictures (only ones I have loaded in my photobucket)

Do you have a Kayfun 3.1, or a Kayfun lite(+) or Russian 91%?

Here's a picture I snapped this morning of a couple other configs:

Left to right: Russian 91% with clear full-size tank, Kayfun 3.1 with nano clear tank, Kayfun 3.1 with mini kit (the last 2 make the 3.1 the same size as a KFL+ or 91%), Taifun GT (simply because it was in my bag already ;)

KFL+.

Nano kit (with 2x shorter metal rings + same clear middle section you already have), or the mini/nano completely clear tank then.

The shorter top cap that was posted is cool as well, but I don't like dropping $25 on one (if you can even find them in stock).

Thanks for the direction.

I think I'll have to go with the one that uses the small clear section that I already have.  I use some supposed tank crackers, and haven't had any issues.  But I'm not sure if that would change if I went with a full clear tank.

Just ordered this drop-kit:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kayfun-Nano-Drop-Kit-Shorten-Your-Kayfun-3-1-Lite-Plus-Ships-Same-Day-/231173449081?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d302e579

I have no idea if the quality differs between makers, or who even makes this one.  But just I ordered a new V2 KFL+ from them, so I figured I would just order the kit from them, too.

Nice.

I forgot to update this thread; The kit doesn't fit correctly with the EHPro V2 KFL+, so I'm only able to use 1 of the drop-kit rings.  50% drop is better than no drop, though, I guess.
