OK fellas.
Help me decide which 26650 mod i should get to go with the 26650 kayfun. ![]() |

I voted Hades but only because it's the only one I've used
![]() Seriously, I have the Tobeco version of the Hades and have been pretty impressed with the quality of it. It's also got a spring loaded 510 connection, so adjustment was a non issue. |

Of the pics you posted, I'd go Hades, Snowwolf or Tesla. Mainly because I'm real picky about locking rings these days and those seem to have the best setups. On a 26650 the convenience of locking rings matters a bit more because you're turning more to engage due to the larger circumference of the mod.
ETA: The last thing I need is another mod but I keep salivating over the copper Hades that's coming out. I'm sure I'll end up with one once they're in stock and not pre-orders. |
Angelcigs has the hades clone in the USA warehouse for $19.99. I ordered one earlier this week.
No experience with any of them, so I'm just going on looks alone. In that case; I like the Tree of Life mod.
The Big Nasty has that DNA30 module you can slap on top of if it now, if that's an interest. (Pie pic doesn't appear to be working. Did I miss anything good?) |

View Quote I thought about a panzer, but would rather have that in 18650. |

The really big things about mechs are your positive pin and the switch. Cosmetics appeal, but you need function first. So compare how they're put together and make an informed decision. I haven't looked into them close enough to judge. An adjustable pin and a clever switch are key selling points. Some toppers are adjustable, but definitely not all of them. When it comes to 18650 mods, I know the Nemesis is a safe bet because of aftermarket upgrades. We're not there yet with the 26650, so I would buy accordingly. Or buy a couple cheap ones that are different, and have fun comparing. |
I'm holding out for when the Seven30 comes out before getting into 26650's. They said, I voted for the Helmsman.
That's how I vote cosmetically. I'd take the yehs and compare the specifics I previously mentioned and decide accordingly. |
If you don't buy anything for another month, I can put a Hades in your hands for you to check out.
I've been stuck on full time mech mode lately, but I'm lusting that Seven 30 |
I would be looking at the switch as a deciding factor for me. That large a diameter needs a well designed switch. The rest of it is some threads and a battery tube, IMO.

I'd like to try that. I did find a half decent deal on ebay for a Hades and 2 Sony batteries though.. $58 shipped. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The only bad thing about the Hades is that it's the Nemesis of 26650's. Everyone has one. |

After watching a few more videos, the Mutant seems to have the edge on the switch design... Except it doesn't have a lock. ![]() |

About the Mutant, yeah, that's a pretty neat switch. Even recessed, I normally wouldn't consider a mech without a mechanical lock, but for a 26650, it's not like you're gonna throw it in a pocket anyways. It'll likely never leave the house so a full mechanical lock probably isn't that important. |

I got one for my bday.
The v3 hades from 101 is rock fucking solid. not a ton of voltage drop. LOVING IT. Solid switch and body and is brass with silver contacts. |
I really don't care for 26650 mods right now. That being said I voted Big Nasty...cause it has the best name.

I wish I could find the Ruthless Bomber, that has my vote. Its so clean and simple.
