It’s a super cool movement. Watching the wheels spin on the back different than your traditional escapement mechanism is exciting. Same main spring and rotor, but it’s powering a different time keeping mechanism. They have a new spring drive movement that is thinner that just came out and is +/- 5s/month.

It’s only in a few select models so far.

THANK YOU, sir! It was an absolute hoot. I’ve almost got the rest of the gun purchased to make a legit G rifle. I’ve never owned any of their stuff before. It’s superb.

In other news, I’ve been traveling for work, and as a consequence have been wearing my 0085 all week. Wear yours in good health! See you soon.  @acegunner

Nice, love the older Seamster guilloche waved dials. Did you send it back to Omega for service or a local shop?

I used a local guy in Waxhaw, NC.  It took awhile as he's almost always slammed but it was worth not sending to Omega again. The scratch on the bezel just above the 20 is courtesy of Omega's service.

Finished the month with the Fortis Marine Master.  Time keeping was excellent. But slow.  About 1.9sec / day.

Was going to give the vintage a shot for the month

But..
Sometimes hangs up on midnight date turnover.  Needs a service.

I decided to go with an Oris.

But, I was thinking-
What is the lowest cost point for a Swiss automatic COSC diver, and how accurate will it be.  Best I know of is a 600M Mido which streets for about 1200 on a bracelet.  They started these around 2018, with some cosmetic updates recently.  Not sure what strap options they have.  Will see.  Depending on what Mido or other I find that may be taking over if I order something.  It’s been a while since a  while since I got a new watch.

Christopher Ward has COSC dicer options in that price range and slightly below depending on bracelet vs. strap.

Thank you, I took a look.
I was looking at the black on bracelet MIDO one, but they have an interesting dual bezel black one….

Looks like we have some similar tastes in travel and watches.
