I have the same.  Beautiful watch before Omega went all 'Fashion Watch' with the Seamaster.

A 'new to me' Qimei Type II clone, ready to fill in as stunt double for my original Benrus Type II. The size and weight are very close to the original and the movement is very interesting - a Seiko V31 'mechaquartz' that runs at 4 beats per second rather than 1 like a traditional quartz, so the second hand moves more like a mechanical movement.  Had they given it a bead-blasted finish and done a better job on the bezel insert, these could easily sell for much more than the $124 price on AliExpress, let alone the generous discount I got for slightly used on Reddit.

Nice! Did you get from AD or grey market? If the former, how long of a wait?

Thanks!  All from AD, longest wait 2-4 months for everything except the Aquanaut I've been on the list for forever.

I wish I could wear it more, but there were few times I had to take it off at work when wrenching. My everyday is a square, which can slip through in tight spaces

Found this little gem on eBay and got it for way less than my max bid.
The lever for setting the time didn't work when I first tried it out. I figured the old lube had gummed up and it was stuck. That was exactly it. I took it apart and cleaned and oiled it and now it works fine.

Good afternoon.

I’ve only recently discovered this sub-forum and thought I would share a small story.

So my grandfather passed away a couple years back.  I wasn’t really close to him but I did inherit his shotgun (an old single shot 20 gauge) and his pocket watch.  His shotgun is nothing unique, but it was his first gun when he was a child.  His watch on the other hand I thought would be appropriate to share here.

Rockford 18 size Model 950 open face.  21 jewel, gold jewel settings.  Adjusted in 3 positions. Rated as in very good condition.

bringing back a 6 month old comment haha.   Cool Tag! Details?  Never seen that face before I dont think.

Pic thread, my quartz Formula 1 which I like a lot.  Sacrilege here maybe but I've been going back towards quartz watches.  My only auto now is an Orient.  When I sold my last Omega I just kinda stayed cheaper and have still been enjoying the watches, and the 18um L3 filmless RNVG that the Omega sale went to.

That is a very nice watch.  I can't tell the difference.  I recall my friends and I going to DMRO looking for watches and other cool things.  Being young and dumb we would polish the case, trying to make them look like a civilian watch.

Bought this to celebrate my last year in the 30s, last time in the Middle East and last year in the Army. Over the last handful of months I've also purchased around 15 different straps for it so I can switch it up and not spend money on another one. Went with an older one, since the newer ones have the backs covered now.
