Just a local pawn owner who jumped through all the hoops to make sure it was legitimate before acquiring. He wanted a low enough amount (low...heh...nothing's "low" with Rolex!) that, after I left no stone unturned ensuring it was as good a deal as I thought, it was too good to pass up. Hour and minute hand are tritium, but have likely been replaced years ago. I can't prove it, but it looks that way. Regardless, still not a deal breaker. After all, think of all the mk1 GMTs that had their broken Bakelite bezels replaced over the years! |

I may replace it at some point, but honestly, I don't mind a little age showing on it, as long as it doesn't get too much on the way! |

There was some really nasty lookin' stuff hiding under that bezel!
ETA: One of my brothers has a ~ 1980 era GMT and over a period of years, beat the livin' hell out of it. Took an expensive trip to the RSC to bring it back to it's former glory. Check in any time. I need to send a shout out to OlCrow too. |

this time a 1970 Bulova Accutron Deep Sea World Time. <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160115_144142505_HDR_zpscf0z3aww.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160115_144142505_HDR_zpscf0z3aww.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141650871_HDR_zpslazutwtq.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141650871_HDR_zpslazutwtq.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141615394_HDR_zpss5d53psk.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141615394_HDR_zpss5d53psk.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141248621_HDR_zpsgafk0ghf.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160115_141248621_HDR_zpsgafk0ghf.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160115_143037670_HDR_zpsvvclrq5p.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160115_143037670_HDR_zpsvvclrq5p.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Bulova/IMG_20160205_124850888_HDR_zpsrs39h1fw.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Bulova/IMG_20160205_124850888_HDR_zpsrs39h1fw.jpg</a> By chance, I ran into a mid-1960s Hamilton 600 Super Compressor that I couldn't pass up. <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_220952946_HDR_zpswqhguso0.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_220952946_HDR_zpswqhguso0.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221029919_HDR_zpsndm0dj7f.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221029919_HDR_zpsndm0dj7f.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221102095_HDR_zpssq1kxpiz.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221102095_HDR_zpssq1kxpiz.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221645831_HDR_zpsmwifreu3.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160126_221645831_HDR_zpsmwifreu3.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160127_094723_zps7iaexpva.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160127_094723_zps7iaexpva.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Hamilton/IMG_20160127_141758_zpscir8zd8c.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Hamilton/IMG_20160127_141758_zpscir8zd8c.jpg</a> The most recent acquisition, completely unintentional and way out of character for me, is a 1977 Rolex GMT-Master. <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160210_071543_zpskry7upbk.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160210_071543_zpskry7upbk.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160209_210039_zpsmnxhjq0u.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160209_210039_zpsmnxhjq0u.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160209_200305449_HDR_zpszeckb9co.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160209_200305449_HDR_zpszeckb9co.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/_20160210_115838_zps5q79ch8j.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/_20160210_115838_zps5q79ch8j.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160209_220414_zpsxmn0pxra.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160209_220414_zpsxmn0pxra.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160210_085022_zpsnpuer1we.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160210_085022_zpsnpuer1we.jpg</a> <a href="http://s1284.photobucket.com/user/buyingontime/media/Rolex/IMG_20160210_101327_zpsh3byheqg.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1284.photobucket.com/albums/a572/buyingontime/Rolex/IMG_20160210_101327_zpsh3byheqg.jpg</a> UKCousins sells replacement crystals if you need one. Polywatch will only do so much. Thanks for the heads up! Are they Rolex or generic? Not that I necessarily mind either way... I did a brief round of sanding and polywatch to smooth most out. I may replace it at some point, but honestly, I don't mind a little age showing on it, as long as it doesn't get too much on the way! They have both. I can't tell the difference between the two other than price. |

That's what I normally say. Omega is one of the few I could see more of a reason to go with (regarding acrylic, at least). I'm with you here.

Great watch and military clock!
Those are two excellent pieces to have, if you ask me. |

First off, there are some great pieces in this thread and I appreciate you all sharing what you have.
I didn't see any Breitlings as I scrolled thru so I apologize if this question has already been answered (or is obvious from previous posts). Do any of you recommend someone who can restore a Breitling 765? I have the watch, with no band, and would love to get this thing looking and working like new. Thanks, MPNelson81 P.S. I've never posted a pic so I am not sure exactly how that works! |

A lot of good timepieces!
It's been a while since I've been in my own thread . I hate to take up server space for all my stuff... I have too much now... But my IG and website is chocked full of it for any that want to check it out. Here's a little Bulova group (since that's what I specialize in/collect) that I took recently: Bulova group photo |

I'm into pocket watches, myself. Started with my grandfather's 1943 Elgin B.W. Raymond from 1943, and it's taken off from there. I picked this one up a couple weeks ago. 95 years old.
