Does it have to have a bezel or just meet capabilities specs?

Great lume for the first five years or so, and the day date was useful. I finally got a Sub about ten years after the Seiko, and hated just the date. I got the sub instead of the SD because I liked the cyclops. Now, My favorite is one of the Australian Watchco new “1968 ish” SM300. I should get a vintage no date Sub I think. Maybe a 14060 to go with my 16610. Or the SD from that era. |

I've posted this before in the other watch thread but a really like it so here you go.
2007 Ulysse Nardin Blue Surf. 42.7mm, cyclops is on the inside of the crystal so it doesn't stick up like a traditional magnifier on Rolex. Display back shows the modified ETA 2892 Chronometer grade movement with that date at 6 and a power reserve indicator at 12, both added on by UN by a 7 jewel module to the blue movement with blue rotor. Lume is still great and the dial/indices are very well done, a pleasure to look at. This one keeps exceptional time and I wear it most often, sometimes on the amazing UN rubber/titanium strap, sometimes on a $12 Barton's NATO. Attached File I will try and post up my 6309 this week. It should be back from its first service in 38 years tomorrow! |

My 39 year old 6309-7049 came back today from Paul’s in Sacramento. I’ve had it for 35 years so I believe this to be the first actual service. No exterior or dial/hand work was done but there were many worn out parts inside from what I was told. Waiting for the Uncle Seiko tropical band to arrive.
