Yeah, I like the Eagle Rare, been wanting to pick up a bottle lately but I haven been able to find it on the shelf the past few weeks. They even had the regular Buffalo Trace, I prefer the ER over the BT, but both are good! I used to see the Eagle Rare all the time and remember seeing Stagg all the time years ago but I wasn’t really into bourbon back then.

I’ve been wanting to try the Stagg but haven’t seen it anywhere around here when I’ve checked for it.

Yes it is the Madeira Cask. I haven't popped the cork yet, but will this weekend and I'll report back.

The first one they stopped making a few years back. It was a very famous release from them. The second one is the revival of the old release. I personally love the new classic cut, but it's very different than the cask strength. The third is an independent bottling of Mac from back in 2012. Mac rarely sells to IBs anymore, so coming across them is hard, especially at cask strength.

The Barrel is great! Cask strength 9 1/2 years old. Really well balanced flavor profile with almost a peppery spice.

I got the wife up at 4 am to go line up for a local package store's fall allocated bourbon sale. I knew if we got there early enough we might have a shot at some of the really uncommon stuff and we could each grab some. We ended up 8th and 9th. Good thing to. We were able to snag the last two GTS they had plus other goodies. The third GTS came from a prearranged trade with another fellow there for one of my bottles of THH.

Above MSRP but well below secondary. GTS was $150 and the EC18 was $130.
