I get these sometimes, get a little white blob attached to my eyelid. I just pull the eyelid away and pop the bubble, goes away pronto.

My wife says it could possibly be a pyogenic granuloma.

Google that and see if it matches your symptoms.

Looks like being uninsured and unemployeed has biten me again.

There is a pea sized ball of skin in the corner of my eye. It looks like the regular red skin in the corner of the eye has become detatched.

It does not hurt, it has been there for 2 weeks now and is sortof disgusting to look at. I can stretch the out side corner of my eye to the outside and the lump of pink skin protudes past my eye lids.

It is odd looking and I have no job to pay for a fix.

I tried to mess with it but it does hurt when I do so. So cutting it off myself is not an option at this point.

It is not a stey, or a skin tab.

Like I said, it is directly in the inside corner of my eye and it looks like something became detatched.

Any ideas on what it is?

I had one a few years ago. Freaked me the fuck out. I had a funny blur in my vision, squinting my eye and rubbing it wouldn't make my blurred vision go away. I finally went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I've never been so horrified at what I saw.

Went to one of those after hours clinics, put me on a table, then they put some numbing stuff in my eye, then cut it out. Then put a bandage over my eye and said to leave it there for about an hour. Dr. said it was just excess tissue that worked its way out of the eye socket. Or something to that effect. I know I had been rubbing my eyes a lot in recent weeks, and they said I could have just caused it by rubbing so much. That was possible. I followed up with my doctor a couple weeks later, they weren't worried about it. I've not had any problems since.

1- bitten, not biten
2. stye not stey
3. skin tag, not tab.

As for what it 'could be', it might me melanoma, a growth, or ruptured globe, or foreign body .... the list is long. I suppose it might be lucrative to see if there are any medicaid options available in your area, or go to a hospital and have them examine you. They cannot turn you away. Also, the hospitals often times will make a 'deal' with you if you can't afford their billing department.
good luck!!

Really, People with high levels sometimes form small balls of excess cholesterol around the eyes.

My dad is a heart doc and pointed this out to a waiter at some place we were eating, guy ended up sending mu dad a thank you letter later on.. Guess he kept name from credit card.. Kind of creepy

My thought too. Xanthoma, or xanthelasma. Harmless, but you need to make sure what this is.

So just to be clear you're saying the "ball of skin" is in the caruncle, the red portion designated by the arrows marked with a "1"?

The problem is in the lacrimal caruncle?

Sister works at eye Dr's and she says they cut off skin tags all the time (excess skin).  They also cut off all kinds of other stuff and send it to the lab for analysis such as skin cancer.  Make an appt with an Opthalmologist.
