Before the haters start bashing HK, I know I can get better, cheaper. That's not the point.

I will never spend 10 grand on a gun, so that's why.

Well, it doesn't really follow the OP's rules, but only because it is more than I can justify spending on a pistol.

Shorter Term (more realistic) Handgun:  S&W 629 "TALO Edition" in stainless with 6.5" barrel

Rifle:  Managed to get my "grail gun" this year in the form of an M-14 clone built on a forged receiver.  Next on the "grail" list for a rifle is probably a FAL G1 clone.

That is just a lot of show.  All I see is a Hardigg case, a Storm case for scope, and Eagle cases, that's OVER 1k in cases....maybe a gun in there somewhere

Springfield 1903 A3.

I'd love to have a really nice example of one, but I don't want to invest in a new type of ammo right now, and I am saving up for a new vehicle... so I may be slowing down my gun related spending soon.

I have two "holy grail" guns... The first one is the HK MP5 that I bought earlier this year. Unfortunately, the other gun happens to be a Glock 18C, which is completely unobtainable in the US.

Easy...

This:

It is a Registered Receiver FNC Conversion.   They used an AR flash hider so they could put the blank adaptor in place.
They had issues with full auto fire, hence his using only Single Shots in the movie.

It was for sale once....and I didn't have the money....

Maybe it will be for sale again....

Not sure what your specs are to rebuild it to, but I had one. Not very impressive. Sure it was accurate, what 1911 isnt. But it could not get through a mag of FMJ without choking, even after a trip back to AMT.
