I am looking for a small every day carry fixed blade knife under $100. I have narrowed it down to the following and need some informed opinions. The Izula is in the lead but I really like the Hideaway...

Hideaway Knife - Claw Model - $79

Izula - $70

TOPS Knives Wolf Pup Knife - $55

I am open to other knifes as well... The only requirements are a kydex sheath and under $100

Hit up bladeforums.com in the knifemaker area. There's usually a steady flow of handmade knives in this category around that price. Then you'll have something special not just another mass produced knife.

It might take some looking and waiting for the right one to come along, but they're there.

I would vote for the ESEE based on the quality of my 5 and H.E.S.T. (you might look at the H.E.S.T. as well, but it is probably bigger than what you are looking for).

I have a HAK.  Neat idea, well done, but I just can't used to the way it feels on my hand.
I personally wouldn't buy another one and would go with either of the other two shown.

Bark River also makes some nice knives that would fit your criteria. The Necker and PSK  are two of them. Also, have you checked out the Izula II or the ESSE-3?

I'm doing the same thing.  Been trying to decide between the Izula/Izula II and the Ka Bar Becker Necker.  They are similar in having the frame type construction and optional micarta scales.  The Ka Bar is a little bigger if that is an issue to you.  For a small knife I've been looking at the CRKT Folts Minimalist.

Look at the KABAR TDIs, also

I recommend the Izula, which you should be able to get for in the $50 rane- that's what I paid for mine, when they were released.

If you have a Big 5 in your area, another poster says they have the CRKT Stiff KISS on sale for a ridiculously low amount.  I have one, it's a great knife.

Bark River Knives Bravo Necker or Necker 2 (2.5 or 3.5 blade length):

Stock kydex sheath has a slot for a firesteel (not included), various types of handle scales are available (micarta/G10)

I tried the Becker Necker, didn't like the plastic sheath or the handle, even wrapped with paracord.

I don't have an Izula (didn't like the coated blade and didn't want to deal with stripping it), but do have an ESEE Lite Machete and a Rat Cutlery 5 (before they switched to ESEE).

If you order from The Knife Connection, they have a 5% discount/instant rebate on BRK products (you have to sign up for it before you order) and shipping is free. Dale ships quickly, I got my order in three days.

I carry it in a Knifes Ship Free pocket sheath. I'm not a big fan of the Bat Belt look.

I'm carrying one of these as we speak, always do, unless I'm at work.  Great knife, great knife company, great warranty and about $55.  Plus a beer bottle opener on the end, what's not to like?
