Don't want a hurricane, but rain would be great. Models show two areas, Corpus and Beaumont. We'll see.

Do you folks in Texas have anything worth looting?

It will take me a couple of days to drive there.

Not taking public transportation, last time I did that I got robbed of my loot on the way home.

Yippee!
I hope this is really going to happen. I'm hoping for Beaumont (or maybe even right over my neigborhood in Spring).
I've got access to a 185,000 sq. ft. food distribution facility (full) with a 1.5 MW generator with 6 weeks of worth of fuel.

Almost forgot... I need the rain.

I lived off of canned water after Rita for over a week.

I was bartering with friends over MRE packets. Good times.

if they have it aimed at corpus then i can, at this point, completely rule corpus out as where it will make landfall

From satellite imagery, you can see this will soon cover the Gulf. Very impressive.

Don't attempt to loot a particular manufacturing facility located in the dead-center of Texas.  They might fight back.

That's what I was thinking. Build into a huge storm on it's way and then settle down to tropical strength and wet the whole state.

Damn, I hope texas gets lots and lots of rain. Perhaps then the texas "It's dry here" threads will disappear.

But who am I kidding, they will soon be replaced by "It's too wet here" threads.

It would take 4" of rain just to start to fill up the cracks in the ground.

you have to love the model that has it doing a loop.

Lee is just another tropical storm want-to-be.  Never going to amount to anything.  Barely even a blast of hot air...

Yep...

I've been watching the forecast for later this week...  Heck a few days ago they were calling for a 60% chance of rain on Friday and 40% on Thursday and Saturday.  Now it's been changed to "partly cloudy".

Fuck we need rain.  We need it BAD.
