I can't believe she didn't blow the gun the fuck up.... Beautiful Sino-Soviet SKS, somehow she managed to load .223 into the magazine and shot it for a few rounds. I was walking past and she said "Hey, I can't get this out,..." I looked in the receiver, bolt was locked back, and I saw the oddest brass cased 7.62x39 I have ever seen sitting in the magazine with no projectile in it. Turns out she grabbed the wrong ammo and somehow the gun was able to chamber it and fire. I have no idea how it held on to the rim of the cartridge or cycled-she said it sounded funny..
The barrel had some unburned powder in it and some lead shavings, and he had a few of these cartridge cases that were bulged at the top and normal diameter at the bottom. Talk about "fire forming" your brass........ Sometimes Darwin has a sense of humor. |

Didn't someone once say that Soviet guns would fire American ammo, but not the other way around?

Need pics of the rifle and the girl. Extra points for the girl holding the rifle.

I worked with a guy who bought a lever action off somebody, he "assumed" it was a 30/30....
It was a .35 Similar fail. |

See, those stories were true about the Viet Cong designing their rifle to shoot our captured ammo!

They could fire our rounds, but not the other way around. |

The MP-443 Grach is chambered for 9x19mm, but the Russian issued ammo for it is so hot that it would most likely 'splode a M9. |

I think some soldiers also thought that guns in 7.62X54 could fire 7.62X51...I am not brave enough to try it...well maybe someday on a fixture... |

I fail to see the issue. ...Maybe you missed the other thread I had a few months ago where I mentioned she's a 3rd degree blackbelt/instructor, nurse, does combat pistol at her club etc. etc. If I took her pic and posted it tonight, she'd kneecap me with her M&P .45, arm bar the fuck out of me so she could drag and tie me to a chair, then she'd surgically remove my kidneys. Maybe I could fill her M&P mags with .357 SIG first.... |

Ha ha .223 sks... I had a .223 ak once with the same issue, wouldn't cycle and the case was stuck. Also the round made a poof sound instead of the usual bang. Knocked the case out and have since fired another thousand 7.62 through it with no issues.

I'm not too interested in the pics of your babe,I wanna see the brass! I can't imagine what it sounded like when fired much less where the freakin' round went! So post pics of the brass simply because this is a weapons site and we are interested in....Oh what the FUCK post pics of your girl already!!!

Easier to get confused when the rifle exists. |

I've seen .308 fired through a M-1 Garand. It goes "Bang" and essentially fireforms the case. IIRC, the shooter was getting short stroke problems. After the second or third round he ejected the clip and realized what had happened. (And no, I don't know why he had clipped .308).
I've also had students load 9mm in a .40 S&W mag, but I've caught them before they fired. (At least as fire as I know I've always caught them in time) |
