If we can get 70, I can get a decent price break. All would be prepainted, prone, AR. Or.......

57 bucks plus 17 shipping. Fuck that Un-painted was 42 + 15 shipping. Little pricy? I guess but fun shit always is. Besides I don't mind spending a few extra bucks to support dudes like that. |

They are also substantially bigger than imagined...about a foot long in prone and 5 inches high. I do agree that there has to be a cheaper shipping method. FWIW, I got the AK prone do to there being no AR prunes. I will also get an AR or two. |

Do I need to contact any moderators to start a group buy thread? And if so, who?

If we do a group buy of 70 , the price for each is only reduced $5. If we got a 40% deposit now, the batch would be ready in late November. Prone/kneeling/painted/unpainted/ar/ak does NOT matter.
At a $5 savings, I think that a group buy would be more of a headache. I can also say that there will be a GRENADE throwing gnome as well, but can't access the picture right now. Also, at this point, what a group buy would "guarantee" is that we all get combat gnomes by the end of November. Otherwise, they way they are selling so fast, it could easily be a lot longer. |

That's still to high for me. |

In for at least two from a group buy. Nothing says "Get off my lawn!" like a combat gnome in full battle rattle.

I'd buy two unpainted ones if the price was right. Unpainted ones would be $37 and the painted ones would be $52. It doesn't seem like enough people are willing to spend $40/$50 plus shipping on these, so I doubt I could get 70 in a group buy. I think that I could do 50, but that is irrelevant. But again/how/where/do I need permission to start a group buy? And can I put it in GD? |
|
Definitely in for at least 2, one AR and AK.
So, tag for follow ups. |
|
If my neighbor had these I would steal them in the night and put them on my lawn.......pointing at my neighbor.
I'll probably throw down for a couple for the planter and a gift for mom. |
|
I'm still waiting to find out about how I go about starting a group buy within the GD rules, or who to contact...
I will leave you with this; http://protagonist4hire.blogspot.com/2011/10/work-in-progress-grenade-throwing.html |

Quoted: Mine arrived!!! Hey OP: What kind of paint did you use? I like the more matte finish on yours VS the other pics I have seen. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q93/jmftexas/2011-10-07182905.jpg Some real cheap acrylic paint. Shawn recommends oil-based Rustoleum, but I wonder if some good ole Testors model paint would work well. |

I don't want to be a kill-joy.........but they are still lawn gnomes.

Put me down for one in a group buy...AK / AR either one... Same here, one for me |

I can think of a couple people that these would make good Christmas/house warming presents for. LMK.

I would be in for the group buy. I pretty sure I'd be buying two.
