Goddamn thread just cost me a couple thousand dollars.

I shop for 12-17th century weapons for fun.  This thread reminded me to do my weekly check for new items.  The Mastercard just got a workout.

I like tomahawks but (my limited experience leads me to believe that instead of passing though what ever they are cutting they tend to bury themselves and require another motion in an opposite direction to dislodge it instead of flowing into the next swing.  Again my only experience is with an Estwing Camp axe.  I could be wrong.

This one is mine, I cut line alot as a surveyor.  Coupled with some japanese water stones for polishing katana swords and this thing will cut through skin, bone and clothing like butter.

That's short term thinking if ever i've heard it.  If i get bit, it just means i've changed teams

Agreed. I'll put on my Kevlar helmet, and paint "Hard Mode" on my chest before I turn.

Intermediate-large sheild and some sort of Kopis or Khukri.

If two handed some sort of pole arm with spikes on bothe ends and a hammer and axe head on the primary end.

Something that's not too heavy, yet can lop off zombie heads with a single blow.

So probably a machete or kukri of some sort, but I'm not sure how effective those would be at the lopping off in one blow part.
