I am not a whiskey drinker.  I had too many experiences in my youth where 'The Lord' came back up and out the nose.  It pretty much ruined me.  Now, many years later, I have started to develop a taste for whiskey again.  For some reason I just bought a bottle of Pendleton.  Damn, this stuff is good.  Super smooth and tastes like Carmel.  Delicious!

Anyone have a fondness for the stuff?  What else am I missing?

It's decent for church picnics.
Woodford is better

Woodford, eh?  Similar in taste?  I'll admit I'm a puss with this stuff.  I need "church picnic" smooth.

The regular Pendleton is good, but the 1910 is better.

They also do a scotch style limited run and cannot call it scotch due to not being made, aged adn bottled in scotland.

What is that one called? I've only heard of the two types I posted about above.

Off the top of my head I cannot recall.

One that is an Oregon brand to steer clear of is whipper snapper...would be good except the horrible chemical and plastic taste to it.

My dad went from Crown Royal, to 8 Seconds, to Pendleton. He has been drinking that the past 4 years now, his favorite.

Is 1910 really that much better than regular? Must be ass load more $$$ then, seeing a fifth is already $25 here in Oregon. Would be down to try if its worth it.

I've had a bit of it.

If you like it, (a good canadian whiskey), try some good irish.  Castle Knappogue is, IMHO, awesome for the price.

Thanks.  I like a GOOD Irish Whiskey, but haven't tried many, and Middleton is just too darn pricy (but is amazing.)

I think it is. It's rather hard to find here in CO, but when I have found it, it's usually around $40.

Same here in Montana, but Canadian Whisky of all brands are popular here for obvious reasons.
