Miss Kate is baking something good tonight-

Who?

I'm always wondering why the boys call their parents "Miss Kay" and "Phil".

I like the unsung hero - Jep

lol, when they're moving that couch - "He's the littlest one, and look what you've got him doing." "He's a full grown man!"

And my favorite Godwin quote is right before the donut eating contest when his stomach growls "I'm bout to starve to death!"  My wife is sick of hearing me say that.
I liked it when they were tearing apart the lawn mower, and Godwin says "I didn't wanna build no duck calls"

I'm not sure if it was Godwin or Martin, but when the decoys are on the roof - "Well, we had an argument about how often satellite imagery is updated..." ha!

Terry Bradshaw was Phil Robertsons back up QB in college. Phil chose Duck Hunting over professional football. I think he made the right call.

Phil said in an old Duck Men DVD: "Terry chose the bucks, I chose the ducks."

They're both living pretty good.

Yes they are. But Phil is a whole lot more entertaining than Bradshaw.

Happy. Happy. Happy.

Excellent show featuring an excellent family. I still have the 1st VHS Phil ever did "The Duckmen of Louisianan".

I actually use the show as a judge of character now. If I ask someone if they've ever watched it and they respond yes, but say it's stupid, I immediately write them off as a commie shitbag

Duck Dynasty is the only program the wife and I look forward to watching. Almost all of tv is crap and hardly worth owning a tv for, but this is an excellent program. It is indeed about morals, ethics, character fun and FAMILY.

Great show and an example of what good programming can be as opposed to the crap, tripe and garbage that passes for tv programs these days.

Love the show, I just found it a few weeks ago as I rarely watch television. Just about the only show I can watch. It is scripted, but Si makes me lol.

I wanted buy some of there stuff, but there two sites that sold it. One was very expensive and the other was on the A&E site that was much cheaper. Wasn't sure what the deal was so I held off. I could use a "Happy Happy Happy" mug for my desk at work.

Im sure a lot of that is staged for the show, but I know if I had that kind of money I'd spend all day fucking around too

I'm sure 90% of it's staged, but they're likeable guys and willing to be the butt of "hold my beer and watch this" jokes.

I guess the old man made duckcalls in a shed for years before Willie turned the business into something big.

I read that there are deer and duck hunting vidoes that Willie made called "Buck Commander" and "Duck Commander: but have not seen them. I think they are more serious hunting type shows.

I am almost tempted to take the magazine extension off my Arfnelli

Phil pulled out some kind of CAR15 clone with two mags taped to go beaver hunting, this is not a Fur,Fish and Game TV show

Yup, the duck hunting videos have been around for probably close to 20 years.  I am 32 and I know that when I was like a freshman in high school, if you could get a copy of the new duckman video you were the shit.  We would sit around for hours watching those damn things over and over again.  Phil is mainly featured in the video's though.....I still watch them to this day and buy the new one every year but yes, they are hard core hunting video's.

If you don't like the idea of sitting around watching them sit in a duck blind for an hour and a half just absolutely hammering ducks, you may find them somewhat boring.  Nothing like the TV shows at all. In the newest one they shoot probably close to 100 rounds at a crippled duck.  About 3 straight minutes of them reloading and firing off as many rounds as they can while just laughing their ass off.  If you duck hunt, you know how funny this is

I just went to a fundraiser for a local Christian academy that Phil spoke at. Kay was there, and their son Allen warmed up for Phil. He's a preacher, with short hair and no beard. Both of the guys did a good job. Phil talked about examples of bringing people to salvation, and lamented the state of our country. He also told us that the production crew edits out his praise for Jesus in the pre-dinner thanksgiving prayers. There was a photo op prior to the speaking where you could have your picture made with Phil & Kay. Phil was real cool about it, you could tell he felt uncomfortable with the process. Ms. Kay was awesome.

It's widely told around Louisiana that Phil was a quarterback at Northeast Louisiana and quit because it interfered with hunting...giving Terry Bradshaw the job.  Those guys are not dummies by any stretch...and I'd love to know Si'z background in Vietnam.

Not into it much from what I've seen, granted that's only a few shows. Seem like nice folks but the show seems just as fake and scripted as all the others. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

I was at Knob Creek a few weeks ago.  My aunt was with us.  We are nearly certain Jase was there.  Looked just like him and one of the guys working the counter had a Duck Dynasty T-shirt on.  When the guy we think was Jase walked by he looked at him and said, "like that shirt ya got on."  Had to be him!

Jase, if you're on here and read this. PLEASE send me a PM and tell me if it was you or not!  It's driving me nuts.  haha

It's obviously fake. That's what I like I about the show, they know it's all set up but they have fun with it and don't take it seriously. It's a breath of fresh air in the "reality tv" market.

I was also watching Duck Commander DVDs years ago. In one, Jase shoots a blackbird out of the top of a tree. He holds it up by the leg and says something like, "Blackbirds'll eat. I've eat 'em before. Winter time. Snow on the ground..." I have three Duck Commander calls on my lanyard I had long before Duck Dynasty. I absolutely love the show.
