A few..

Found the link on flipboard app this morning, googled some other sites...

I know we have seen the urban decay threads here before...old towns, city's, buildings, Detroit, etc..but some of these are pretty cool. There is a park in Germany, called SpreePark, the owner and his son got popped trying to import $14,000,000.00 worth of cocaine, the park closed, now the son lives in a small trailer on the park and they give tours of the ruined park.

Rides look cool. Is it crazy I want to ride some of them, even in their current state? Gold slide looks kinda fun...

That is awesome. When I was a kid, our town had an old haunted house that was abandoned. We did some "urban exploration" in there. Pretty creepy for a 10 year old.

More than just that one.
If you saw Skyfall, that creepy island is a real place.

D*mn vandals.

Expect more parks to be closed.  Folks have less disposable income today.

I doubt anyone would ever try it. I think it would be cool, too, but the set of customers who want to see the abandoned amusement park from Scooby-Doo is a niche. People want it clean and new for their families. They might get a chuckle out of the graffiti once, but they'd be repeat customers at the competition.

Popeye Village, the set from the Robin Williams movie, is on Malta, and is apparently a popular tourist attraction. The buildings were made to look old and warped and run down, if that counts.

"Abandoned Land" at a big park would work.  Retro rides and peeling paint

Very cool! I'm from the Midwest but during the late 70s early 80s there was abandoned stuff all over. Really fun to break in and explore.

Very cool, would think they could have tours of places like that. Paintball/shooter scenarios would be a good time as well.

Liability. Falling on rebar sucks.

Many amusement park structures are weak facades over an inner structure, and lack of maintenance when abandoned allows for leaks that then compromise the materials. Most of these things are in various stages of collapse.

Uh, Euro Disney is still open.

I think that photo was of an attempted Chinese knockoff, abandoned prior to Hong Kong Disneyland's commissioning.
