Is a Federal Laboratories 1.5" Tear Gas Gun classified as a firearm?
Is a 4473 required? If so, how is it classified? Other? Thanks.

1.5" would make it a 37/38mm type launcher. Typically that makes it a "flare gun" (not a firearm) unless it has or will be used to fire anti-personnel rounds (ie: beanbags, shotshells, etc...) Same as the Spike's Tactical Havok.
It is IS used for anti-personnel rounds it would be an NFA restricted Destructive Device. |
