I don't have any, but I REALLY am digging that Ruger rifle! Serious buying consideration going on with that piece.

I've been enamored by the looks of the Ruger GSR with irons. http://cheaperthandirt.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Ruger_Gunsite_Scout_6.jpg I was wondering if anyone on this board had any similar set ups of Bolt rifles. Particular with Irons sights, and detachable mags is a plus. View Quote Lots of Enfields out there... |

I gotta get some more ammo and shoot this one more often. |

I have an old 1960s era Interarms .270 with iron sights and an internal 5 round spring mag. It's the deer slayer.

Winchester makes a Safari rifle with express sights. Comes in .375 H&H I think....

View Quote Those are cut down right? (Not an optical illusion/angle?) If so I especially like the bottom one. Your work? I have a couple 70s-80s Win M70s with iron sights and a Rem 798 .375 H&H too. The JC Higgins M50 .270 I have coming in also has irons. |

Bell and Carlson Medalist for Stocky's Stocks. Was headed for a 'budget precision' rig and the Hoghunter in the B&C (with a Harris Bipos, EGW mount etc.... ) was cheaper than the factory 'tactical' McMillan stocked rifle.... Factory McMillan wasn't even bedded properly and would have needed work. I will say that B&C Medalist is a very nice stock for the coin,... The Hoghunter is a great action / barrel to build on. tossed a fixed 10x Bushnell Mildot on it (on sale from Midway)... Total rig (Rifle, stock, EGW mount, rings and scope) was under 1k and it can outshoot me. I would like a better scope, but shooting beyond 600yards is rare for me... And when I do get to stretch my legs, I grab my AR50a1. |
