My thoughts:
If you make a list of the top 10 coaches on the offensive side of the ball, he is probably on it. If you make a list of the top 10 coaches likely to end up in prison, and leave the University on probation, he is on it. 50/50. 
ETA: I think he is a brilliant in game play caller, but he has so much baggage. If anyone can keep him in line, it would be Saban. |

I trust whoever our coach deems the best man for the job. My personal thoughts would be this:
1. Lane Kiffin 2. Rick Neuheisel 3. Mike Groh Kiffin is a helluva recruiter. Add him with Saban and Smart, not to mention Burton Burns and the others that hit the trail, that would be the best recruiting staff in college football. I'd like to see Oregeron come in as a position coach or simply hired as a recruiter. Good God would that be a recruiting staff.... Many type A personalities by adding him in. I think Saban has the leadership to keep them all under control and reigned in. |

I cannot believe ANYONE (especially a coach like Saban) would pay that clown to be around their football program.

The two things Lane Kiffen knows how to do are:
If you hire him to only focus on those two areas and not run an entire program you will be happy. Put him in the drivers seat of the whole damn thing... watch out. |

ETA: I think he is a brilliant in game play caller, but he has so much baggage. If anyone can keep him in line, it would be Saban. Normally I'd agree, and urge Saban to hire him immediately! However, I think USC's offense got better when they dumped Kiffin.

Apparently Saban sees more in him than I do........When I heard he was in Tuscaloosa 4 weeks ago I wondered what was going on, he seems more of a liability than an asset to me
