Been carrying a G26 the last few days and its a great little gun.

The newer G30's have a rail why or why not would it be a good idea to put a rail on the G26/27/33?

One of those with something like a TLR-3 would be a great carry piece especially since carrying a WML on your CCW piece is becoming more and more popular.

Is there any space with the serial number plate right there?

On the G-30 the serial number is in the middle of the rail.

I took the light/laser off my 19 because it was too bulky, I couldn't imagine adding it to the 26
Whatever floats your boat I guess...

Don't disagree to a certain extent.  But people carry much bigger gun and light combos with relative ease.

The Kahr PM9 etc is a different gun than say a  26/27.

I typically carry a SF E1L and its fine just thinking outside the box really I guess.

Not enough real estate for a full size light. 19 vs 26, Tier 1 VW key to hide serial nos.

A handful of early gen 3 G26's had a rail slot

But why?

No.  Just no.

Stop putting rails on everything.  It cuts down on carry ability.

That's true.
Also, some people have same gun for CCW as for nightstand. So, you can put light on at home and not CCW with light.

If you're going to put a light on a G26, then the light's going to extend beyond the muzzle, so you might as well use a G19 and get the extra barrel length.  Then if you want the shorter grip of a G26, cut down the G19's grip to use G26 magazines.

Just saw in another thread a guy had an idea for a picatinny kit for a Shield and somebody said if they wanted to mount a light they would use their 40c.  the &P 9/40c are direct competition to each other like a PM9 and Shield are.

Still think a 26/7 with a rail would sell and be able to hold one of the mini WML.

Pic doesn't show up on there but from the comments it looked pretty good and functioned well?

ETA...looks very doable and no reason why a Kydex rig couldn't be made for it...

Yeah, and the light he used was flush with the front of the frame.  One of the Crimson Trace lights would probably work pretty well also.

Yes and now they aren't so Glock must have seen something worth adding a rail.
