Looking for something to carry around clipped on my pocket.
Trying to keep it under $50 if possible. Right now I am looking at the Boker Plus Tactical Pen KID Cal .50 but would like more opinions. Thanks! |

I like my Hinderer if you don't mind spending a few bucks more.
I would recommend a pen that takes the space pen refills. ETA: just clicked the link. It takes the space pen refills. But it looks bulky as hell |

The County Comm pens are really nice, with a space pen refill. http://www.countycomm.com/pen.html They're $55 now though. It seems like they were $35 when I bought a bunch for my business 3 years ago or so. |

Zebra F-701 on Amazon for $5.18, + A Fisher Space pen cartridge for $7.39.
I also like the classic Parker Jotter |
|
all this time and I had no idea there was such a thing. It seems like someone took, "the pen is mightier than the sword," a little too far, but if it floats you're boat, more power to you. I like the fine point Sharpie pens myself.

Fisher Space Pen. Lots of options, great pens. Benchmade makes some nice pens that take Fisher cartridges, but they start at $100.

I at times carry my NRA .308 pen. I also bought the Wife one of these at SHOT from AmericanSnipers.org: |

I have a stainless Benchmade in my pocket currently and I rotate it with a titanium Benchmade. Little more than your requested budget but the pens DO write very nicely.

I shit you not, this is the best pen I have ever bought.

Here are a few that I like. They are all close to your money mark.

Skilcraft B3...Aviators pen. Black ink, Red ink and .05 lead. Being the consummate government employed administrator, I often have to swap from lead to ink at a moments notice.
Solid construction, brass barrel. Same diameter as the outside of a 308 neck. Amazon doesn't have them |

View Quote also makes an excellent gun |

Quoted: I've NEVER seen the need for a "tactical" pen View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: And EDC pen? Just don't say you "run" or "rock" it. I've NEVER seen the need for a "tactical" pen Honestly, I'm being semi facetious but I LIKE that tactical pen. It writes well, looks professional and might serve to help when I'm unarmed... Who knows?... At a minimum I believe it would be an effective glassbreaker. The knives I carry daily rotate, some have glassbreakers, some don't. I also carry automatic knives, bet you don't have a "need" for them either. Current carry knife is an auto Adamas with no glassbreaker. Is it OK with you if I carry my tactical pen? PLEASE sir... |

I have a Rite in the Rain pen (practically the fisher space pen) and I prefer this over it:
|
|
Big Idea Designs.
Solid Titanium pen $75.00 Solid Aluminum pen $59.00 Both a little more than you want to spend, but great utilitarian pens that use most commonly available refills. |

My pen doesn't need to be tactical. I will very likely never include it in any tactic for anything, ever. So I usually carry one made by this guy: http://www.markspens.com/wood%20pens.htm He's a hell of a nice guy and makes a really nice pen.
