Doubt I'll ever have the funds to own one and it's not very practical but I NEED one.

I had one. It was a work of art. Absolutely loved it. Had to sell it to raise funds for business needs.
I will have another some day. |

What are the prices on BAR mags? I remember years ago they were fairly cheap, just wonder how much they've gone up.

Nice vid. Thanks. I now know some stuff I didn't which is why I come here partially.

I like the BAR, but I got to agree with the guy in the video. The BAR in the 1940s was outdated.
Bren was definitely better. Bigger, top loaded magazine which makes it much easier to reload in the prone. Quick change barrel. Ect ect.

No flash suppressor, bayonet lug or pistol grip, looks legal to me.
Whoops says flash suppressor on their website

I've always wanted to purchase one for my Dad, a career Marine pre, during, and post Vietnam.
His first assignment was as an 03XX operating the BAR. He has never been much of a gun guy but I can see him enjoying it a la "Get off my lawn!" I can say, when he does shoot he seems to 'control' and 'command' the firearm in a unique way. Like one does a power tool or something. I commented once on it and he simply said that after a BAR everything else is pretty easy. |

Informative video. I wish he had zoomed in closer during disassembly, though. Other then that, I'll be in my bunk!

I am waiting for the gas well site work next to me to finish up so I can put down some suppressive fire on some varmint cong. Got one about three years ago during their lenten sale.
I would like to see OOW buy the rights/tooling for the ex-Tippmann mini/half scale M1919 guns that shoot 22LR. The last guy that made them retired and is selling the business (lakeside guns) The actual well is quite a distance away and behind a large hill so it would be in no danger from me. |

Wouldn't own a BAR unless its just AUTO - Just a big dumb gun in Semi.. Almost as stupid as that Mac-11/9 I had in Semi auto.. Big sheet metal brick dildo with an atrocious trigger pull
But that's just me |

love the BAR one of the cool guns(no practical purpose) I wish I had time $$ for
