Comedy Central’s comedic duo Key & Peele made the claim in a recent interview that President Obama initially came to them to make a skit to promote Obamacare, but they turned him down because of their busy schedules.

“We had to turn him down. We were making the season,” Jordan Peel said of Mr. Obama’s pitch that eventually led to the popular “Between Two Ferns” skit with Zach Galifianakis, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“We literally couldn’t fit it in to our schedules,” Keegan Michael-Key told the magazine.

“So we actually had to relieve the president of his duties,” added Mr. Peele, who often impersonates Mr. Obama on his hit TV show. “We couldn’t help him out on that one particular time. But this is a country where we technically have status over our elected officials. So you gotta remember, Obama works for us.”
