I have two definitions:
1) I have heard that as a slang term for taking a shit. 2) It's a container of beer, usually from a microbrewery that you can take home about a quart of microbrew instead of drinking it at the bar. I forgot another one: 3) a mechanical siren on a fire truck. The chrome thing on the front bumper that makes the sound by spinning on a motor and not electronics is also referred to as a growler. Also known as a "Q" which is short for Federal Q |

No time for good pic, is copper washed steel can, 'Manhattan Growler', have a bunch of them in my collection. 'Fu Aroc' as Cert of Authenticity.' Left 'K' off name so as not to glorify the a-hole. |

I have some growlers. I have 2 local breweries that are shown here that will accept each others growlers on the super cheap growler day. west o is on mondays and okoboji brewing is thursdays....works good for me. |
