Tally-ho, Marlboro Man.

Best known as the rugged cowboy who starred in the Marlboro Man cigarette advertisements, Darrell Winfield died Monday at home in Wyoming at age 85.

His cause of death was not listed in his obituary on a Fremont County, Wyoming, news website.

I used Google to search the site and came up with this link.....
http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1585483

In the link I posted above the Marlboro man died last year at age 72?

Bust out the tinfoil......

My Uncle was the Salem man in the 70's. He died of Aids in the late 1990's.

Not sure about the connection though.

85 is a solid age to go. When you get up there in age, you feel like shit and can't do anything.

I guess calling Marlboro Reds "Cowboy Killers" is just an old wives tale.

That's what 3 1/2 packs a day!!!
Even back when I smoked I couldn't average more than half a pack a day without my lungs aching.

Smoking 5 packs a day seemed to be the norm back in the day.  On a diet consisting of red meat and liquor.

Smoking takes ten years off your life. Well it's the ten worst years, isn't it folks? It's the ones at the end! It's the wheelchair, kidney dialysis, adult diaper fucking years. You can have those years! We don't want 'em, alright?

Yeah, but he also drank too much, and got gonorrhea at some point from sleeping around (I'll assume he had more than that).

That's all well and good....I don't smoke because it's expensive and pointless.....the fact that it would harm my body is just a bonus.

You spend shit loads of money and get what exactly?

To trudge outside, shamefully and dutifully, a dozen times a day to huddle underneath an overhang and get your fix in 20 degree rainy weather.

I don't know, seems totally worth it to me.

That plus the quart of gin he drank every day won't buff out.
