What round for drones?  Muahahahahahaha...

From Breitbart:

"Snake River Shooting Products (SRSP) is now marketing a shotgun shell specifically designed to inflict maximum damage to prying drones flying over your backyard, front yard, swimming pool, or hot tub.

According to Popular Photography, Snake River refers to the shells as “Drone Munition.” They feature #2 steel shot and are shipped in packaging that urges buyers to “Prepare for the drone apocalypse.” And Ammoland reports that the ammo is offered in a “12 gauge 3 inch shot shell.”"

So nothing special about it except the box paint. Well, marketing and all, they`ll probly make a million bucks.

Buy a box, use it on what turkeys.

Then put it on display with all your own broken drones/RC craft next to the box and tell everyone these are the drones you've shot down so far.

#2 steel is 0.15 caliber, seems overkill for plastic toys

I'd go with a #4 with flitecontrol wad.  Reach out and touch something.

18 US Code SS 32

20 years in a federal pound-you-in-the-ass prison.

FAA/NTSB v. Pirker  holds that UAV's ARE in fact aircraft and subject to the same law.

See you in 20 years or so...and watch your corn hole, bud.

I wonder what a shotgun shell of 6mm airsoft pellets would do.  You'd think that would be sufficient for plastic and blades.

Off to the internets, because I know someone has had to do it if they test bubblegum, quarters, nails and matches in shotgun shells!

ETA:  Yeah, a couple examples on YouTube.  It looks like it would work (in theory).

Somebody had a large amount of shitty steel shot and a marketing plan.

For drones I'd pick a heavy dove load.

otherwise known as waterfowl loads at half the price I'm guesssing

Why would you want to use steel shot on drone - it is not like they are a migratory waterfowl.

How many people in Connecticut* have been mortally wounded by falling birdshot in the past 500 years?

A. More than 1.

B. Fewer than 1.

I'm pretty sure I know the answer.

*Hint: you can replace "Connecticut" with "northern hemisphere," "planet," or "solar system" and the answer will remain the same, thus demonstrating the power of Science!©

open up any garden variety bird shotshell and pour some melted crayon in the shot.
re-crimp, and drop some pesky electronics.  if theres anything left.
