Rustoleum. Krylon used to be the king of spray paint, but they made changes to the paint and the cans to discourage graffiti and now they tend to suck.

I'm talking about the camo stuff if that matters. Still Rustoleum? Its a lot cheaper. 7.something per can of Krylon at pep boys, only 3.something per can at walmart

My personal preference is for Rustoleum, but I found Krylon (once I came to) left behind a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heady, but with just a touch of mellow smoothness.

The last half a dozen cans of Rustoleum I bought were junk. Over last few years. Crap will not even spray. Crap paint or crap nozzles, I don't know.
I've read some online about this problem. There is a lot of talk about paint formula being changed causing this problem. Who knows. |

I used both frequently at a previous job. Rustoleum tends to "spit" and clog nozzles more than Krylon if conditions are less than ideal, but I've found its durability to be superior. Rustoleum seemed to have a thicker viscosity which I am guessing contributed to those attributes and Krylon's apparent smoother spray.

Rustoleum has been great on my 870 for 3 years vs the krylon on my G17 that was scratched within a week from a holster the 2 times I used it..

Rustoleum enamel baked on metal at 300 degrees for 90 minutes is an incredible finish.

I've spent a ridiculous amount on camo spray paints for various reasons. When not talking about an enamel like Aluma hyde, Aervoe really is the best. Takes a bit to set up, but is very tough for a paint when it does. Very smooth, distinctive feel when it dries. Krylon seems to be right behind it, same feel when set up & seems to be pretty durable. Rustoleum for some reason always seems kind of chalky, granular when it dries, just seems a bit lower quality all around.
That said, Rustoleum does have a much warmer khaki than krylon, which has a very gray khaki, which isn't too bad really. Krylon khaki actually does pretty well under IR, if that matters to anybody
