Neither did I. Until after I bought one.

So... If you're in the market for a new fridge, do yourself a favor and skip Samsung.

Evidently the coils in the refrigerator side tend to freeze up and keep the little fan from spinning. The little fan is what circulates the cold air - allowing the fridge side to get warm. Since the sensor is back there with the little frozen fan, the displayed temp on the door doesn't go up.

If anyone knows how to fix this issue - that'd be great.

Different issue, but last month Samsung bought our fridge back from us.  Full price.

Mine is on it's second icemaker.  A little over two years old.  Neither one was under warranty.  POS.

Lots of fridges have this issue. Samsung should have better known better.

And my cheap ass fridge keeps on chugging away with its' something like $34 a year electric cost estimate.

It doesn't give BJ's or display porno though...

Nice.

How'd you manage that?

My Samsung fridge just dumps water in the bottom drawers, probably from something being frozen over.  Details on the class action suit?

I have one with a bottom freezer I bought over 10 years ago.

I will tell you this little quirk... if the switch that causes the interior light to go on when the door is opened goes bad, the refrigerator stops working.

Yep... a little $6.00 switch almost caused me to toss it and buy a new one!

I went thru three ice makers on a Samsung. POS. The ice auger was plastic and would break as the ice froze solid. Never again.

That's an easy fix and the answer is on youtube.  The defrost  drain is frozen because the little clip that goes over the element and down into the drain hole is too short.

You have to defrost the drain hole and replace with a new clip.

Have a link to the video? I'm assuming this is what causes my Samsung fridge to intermittently vomit water all over the floor.

That doesnt fix the problem, it just clears it up until the next time. I have been installing those for years now and we still get them back. Usually its the duckbill in the drain behind it that gets clogged.

Don't buy a Samsung BluRay player either.  After a couple of years they stop putting out updates for the model and then they wont play the newer blurays.  I guess they expect you to buy new ones every couple of years.  I have one that I've prob only watched 3-4 movies on, but now will only play regular DVDs b/c they stopped putting out updates.  I recently bought the new Star Wars BluRay only to find out it would not play it.

Seemed to work for me.

That is the reason, and no, I don't have a link, but it was pretty easy to find.  Apparently pretty common problem.
