Been digging Panic for nearly 20 years.  First time I saw them was the summer of 96 I think.  Good shit!

Not even close, but Panic is good in their own right. I've seen them twice and both shows were killer. I met Dave Schools before a show in New Orleans a few years ago. One of the most down to earth and genuinely kind people I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Ain't life grand?

Saw them at Rollins College Winter Park Fl. 1993.  Show was all hot girls, hardly any dudes.  Gotta love it.

I'm a veteran of funk/jazz/jam festivals.  Love it.

I'm more into String Cheese Incident, Lettuce, Galactic, Umphree's McGee, and Dumpstafunk, but WP can jam.

Plus... Hula girls.

Went to school with the bassist, he comes back and sits to jam with the high school music class, really nice and the students get a kick out of it.

I think I even have a cassette of them playing at our house....if anyone remembers tapes

RIP Mikey.

Saw them once. Lots of kids when I was in college liked them. Be prepared to get a contact high if you go to a show.

First Panic show was in 1990 at the Cave.  Yep I made that show totally by accident.  Was going to Clemson at the time and some friends decided we should check them out. Glad I did, I've seen them many times since.

Way fucking better than Phish.  Phish play music like they have no balls.  I started seeing Panic when the Dead were still touring and Houser was still playing guitar standing up.  They are so consistently good live that it boggles the mind.

GTFO.  Panic plays great, but Phish plays more musically complex material and when they're on, they're REALLY good.

Check out Slave to the Traffic light @ Dick's 9/6/15.  I was there and the second set and encore was off the fucking hook.

My first dog was named Fee.  I have a Millie Grace at my feet now.  My wife wouldn't go for Floyd on our recently deceased Jack.

Saw Phish a few times and used to really love them.  I agree Phish to be technically proficient. But to me, Panic has something that Phish lacks which is soul.  Maybe its the southern feel or the fact that fresh cut grass in spring makes me happy.

Top 10 rock songs of all time in my book.  Possible fail coming.

I had them come through my college town way back when.

All pretty cool guys.

Let me keep most of the "booking" money as I showed them such a good time on the town after the show.

I'm glad you like them but I just can't take their music seriously. If I had to describe their music I'd explain it as Frank Zappa impersonating a cheesy game show host with a soulless soundrack in the background.  I think Trey is a great guitarist and I'll leave it at that.
