Sad as it is to say, the owners had better get ready for the hammer to drop from Shell Corp.

That's how free speech is silenced: loud, vocal minority screams bloody murder and companies, fearing bad image/loss of business, fold to their (wholly unreasonable, anti-freedom) demands.

Such tactics have been a big part of what's gotten us to where we are, today.

And everything closed around 5 PM Monday through Friday and some stores closed at noon on Saturday. It used to be about making a living. Now it's about corporations and maximizing profits for the shareholders (not to mention the bonuses the big guys in management get when the stock holders are happy).

I remember how confused/upset the out of staters were in the town I went to college in when the stores close up before dark (in the summer time). Seems they had "no place to go" with the stores closed. Evidently they didn't grow up reading books, watching TV, or studying for their college classes. That was 30 years ago, I'll bet it hasn't gotten any better. And I heard they're closing that college down and moving it to what passes for a big city in the state.

I remember when my grandmother and mom went shopping on Thursday night which was the only time the stores stayed open after normal closing time. They thought it was a big deal at the time.
