High school girls in Alaska are crying foul after a male sprinter took home all-state honors in girls’ track and field. According to local reports, it was the first time in Alaskan history that a male athlete competed in the girls’ state championships.

Haines senior Nattaphon Wangyot–who self-identifies as a girl–advanced to the state finals in the 100-meter and 200-meter events. He won fifth place in the 100-meter dash and third place in the 200-meter. In both events, he competed against girls as young as ninth grade.

I have coached some female olympic athletes and national team members. I was a national team pool player and some of the female athletes I coach are faster than me and most male athletes I know (rugby).

That said, it's going to interesting to see how this all pans out. If someone is really going to go for it, he better make sure he is one hell of an athlete and beats the females or he will empower the current gender identity movement.

I think society has simply forgotten why we differentiated between biological males and a females in the first place. It's shit like this that is eventually going to start bringing those differences back into focus.

"Oh shit, NOW we remember why men and women get their own sports leagues, restrooms, and cover charges at bars..."

The solution is simple yet somehow eludes people. Make women's sports and bathrooms open to biological females of ANY gender and men's sports and bathrooms open to biological males of ANY gender. Problem solved. Think about it...

They have to prove that there is no difference between anyone - be it biological, physical, or intellectual.
