Shooting an AR like it's a laser without iron sights or an optic? Check.
Accurate shots with an oil can silencer that you somehow made in two seconds and blocks pistol sights? Check. Can carry a fuckload of ammo with little burden? Check. World War Z "zombies?" Check. Wannabe Daryl Dixon? Check. Nope. I'm sitting this one out unless they fix that shit. Call me a snob but if you can't even get the little things right you're not going to end up with a blockbuster. They need the mechanics of The Division with a rich story and zombies. A good MMO zombie game, that would be gold. |

I liked what I saw. I can get over a lot of the gun stuff, since VGs never get that shit right, anyway.
However...while that video was kick ass, it felt...scripted. It felt like something where somebody had already died 300 times in order to determine the correct "sequence" of action for that area. While it looked sandbox, it didn't feel sandbox. It felt sort of...like a Resident Evil 5 knife fight, but without the prompts. Having said all that, I can play a character in a movie and find it entertaining, while not really considering it a game (Uncharted, I'm looking at you). ETA: I'm looking more forward to State of Decay 2, which I've been told is going to co-op. |
