The bright side is that they will not shut them down due to some government whims.

Nice, that resource will no longer be under the dominion of the US and they can do whatever illegal activity they want with it.

Just another shining example of not getting a handle on illegal immigration.

If you dont, the invaders simply take over.

One of the many things we never learn from history, is that we never learn from history.

If they can pass this, they can pass a law to protect coal production and we keep our natural resources.

The land belonged to the tribes to start with, its actually fitting they give it back  Members of  this board support big government in the worst ways including unrestricted immigration, globalist trade policies, and everything under the sun.  So its no surprise that some people here would have the temerity to bitch when property is returned to its owners.

Are you naive enough to think that land didn't change hands by force before the europeans showed up here?   Tribes have dome and gone.  Driven out or died out from disease and natural disasters, and then another came along.

The Federal Government NEVER had a Constitutional mandate to seize it to start with.  Read the Constitution

Never mind the treaties that were signed between the govt and the tribes.

Statist much ?

Which tribe?  The one that "owned" it last?  The one that kicked out or killed the last one?  Of course owning land was not actually what tribes did.

you do realize that Indian tribes were and are considered sovereign nations ?  They had a collective ownership  system?   yes ...  An individual ownership of property ?  NO

Save the statist bullshit, not wanting to turn over federal land land to a series of dysfunctional and corrupt tribal councils isn't being statist, its simple common sense.

Indian tribes like to call themselves soverign nations like 15 year olds like to pretend they're adults. When tribes stop being welfare dumps, stop using the US Public Health Service/Indian Health Service, and start taking responsibility for themselves, then we can talk about soverignty.

then by 'll means keep repeating it and stamping your feet like a child if you wish, doesn't make it true. You're not fooling anybody with the tripe you're trying to serve up about tribal governments and sovereignty.
