Using my M1A and AR15, I shot G.I. steel helmets at ~300 meters. Shot at rocks with a Reising SMG at circa 400 meters. With an M82 Barrett, plinked at boulders on a hill maybe 600-700 meters across the border in Mexico.

And I've only been able to do it once. However, my "qualification" group was palm sized with a 5.56 with a breeze so I was happy enough

1,000 yards; I have the facilities to shoot longer, but it's hard enough at 1k for now.

My friends and I set up a 1000 yard range in the forest but the farthest I have shot is 900 yards (6.5 Creedmoor).

I need to refine my loads and get the velocity SD down a bit (sometimes it's single digits but other times it gets up to 12-15), at 800 yards my shots start opening quite a bit and I'm having trouble at 900 yards - haven't even tried shooting at 1K yards yet.

How far from Temple Terrace is that? I get down there every year or so and would love to play on a 1k meter range. Also, is it public, or can just anyone join?

Civilian, out to 1200 yards on steel, oddly enough I have shot 4 wolves, 2 at less then 10 yards and 2 at over 600 yards, also shot 1 grizzly at over 600 yards but only because a buddy wounded it and it was headed into country we couldn't easily get into...took 7 shots with the bear at a dead run on the valley floor for me to get the hold, but then 3 straight in the breadbasket stopped him..all shots with 300 RUM and hand loads....

that's a hell of a shot for a Grendel.  Shooting at barn doors?

You were probably at high elevation too, that will help but still...

Outside my capacity as a member of the armed forces I have shot to 1200 yards (with a purpose built palma gun).  Inside the military, excluding competition, I believe 867 meters is the longest shot I have taken at a point target (with an M24, if I remember correctly.  It was a decade ago and was not my rifle.)

I am a fan of long range matches picking up in ban states, as well as civil disobedience becoming a popular pastime.

I routinely shoot ARs, to include a Mk18, out to anywhere from 500 to 600 yards.

Farthest shot or farthest hit?
Farthest shot with rifle 900 yards with 7.62
Farthest hits with 7.62 rifle 400 yards.

Farthest hits with M-60E3 about 500 yards.
Walking tracer rounds in always makes life easier.

With iron sights.......600 yards in several hi-power matches.  Known distance, so it was "easier." And, the actual targets are huge.  They only look small from that distance.

1600M(1Mi) at a rock as big as a house, with a Mosin Nagant. I managed to see a few bounce off of it. I did shoot at a Ma deuce range in the Army. I think it was 800M.

Officially? 100 yards. Unofficially (with a range finder at an impromptu range?). I wanna say 600 yards.

If I've shot further (and I probably have), it's completely unverified.

4000 yards but it was with a mortar tube.

1800 yards but I really didn't go good and didn't get a good dope for it.   Ft. Drum on our afrcom NYSRPA shoot.   Hell I was having a time at half that distance.   Too many shooters flinging lead willy nilly and shooting other peoples targets.
