I like my pants pulled up not hanging low at the waist.

You do realize that fashion is ever evolving, right? The guys in that illustration you posted, wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of "dungarees". They also wouldn't leave the house without a season-appropriate hat and a tie. Do you feel bound by those fashion strictures, along with the high waist-line?
