Just saw it. Better shooting, better fighting, but it was annoying how much they tried to sell guns.

Just got back from seeing it......G27 on my hip.
2 things really pissed me off in this movie. 1. Really......A fucking Burris scope 2. Who loads, racks the slide, then checks if it chambered? 3. Why didn't Jonathan pick a G19? Everybody knows that is the ONLY gun he needs |
|
Either my M&P.40 OWB, SIG P220 Carry IWB or M&P9c in a Nemesis; but I always carry.

Same prop guy from TWD? |

I saw it last night. It seemed as if they had a list of things to satisfy the fans of the first one and went down that list making sure all of the boxes were checked. Some of the scenes gave me the impression that they had read some of the online discussions of the first one and made sure to address some of the major points that fans liked to the point of making fun of itself in the opening act.
I also felt like they dug themselves a hole with the ending, hinting that the action will be even more spectacular for Chapter 3. Keanu is over 50 and I'm wondering just how much more punishment his body can take. He's part of the production so he's fully aware of what he's getting into, though. More power to him! All in all, I liked it. BTW - I was packing a Glock 19 Gen3. |

Cowboy Curtis is really showing his age

Just saw it. Seemed forced. This, too. Didn't have the same motivation as the original and was almost too repetitive. Lol. It's a bit of a Faustian tale with a dash of Dante. Just watched it, I had a boner for 90% of the movie. Plot sets up for an awesome third movie.

I'm in movie heaven tonight. Watched Wick 1 again earlier and the wife just came home with the Accountant and Jack Reacher 2

Just saw it. Excellent action flick. I enjoyed it more than the first movie. I now want a Wick 34.
Carried my Gen. 4 26 in a horsehide Supertuck and a spare 17rd mag. Taking my wife to see it Sunday. Loved the gunkata 1911 press check. I was laughing my ass off most of the movie, in a "holy shit, this is awesome" way! |

Just got back from seeing John Wick 2. Its official John Wick thinks the 1911 platform is silly. That's not a spoiler before anyone starts bitching.
|
|
I saw it a little while ago. It was okay. I liked it, but I didn't think it was as good as the first one.
And why so many women with tattoos? Not that I care, it just seemed like they made it a point to emphasize that. Is it supposed to mean something and I just missed it? |
|
|
We're going again tonight!
I don't remember ever seeing the same movie twice at a theater, I enjoyed it that much! |

Glock 19 with a Taran +3 basepad
I really enjoyed it. You could tell he had worked with Taran Butler. |

So here's the official review from someone who actually expects a story out of a sequel......
yup, that's it....not even worthy of typing words. It was that bad. But don't fret John Wick fans.....I can GUARANTEE there will be a #3....the ending guaranteed it. It will most likely be even worse than this one. |

Pretty good, cartoonish violence. 1) fuck shakeycam. I wish that technique would die. 2) The roll down the stairs scene = 3) The stroll down the subway plinking at each other with "pew pew" silencers = 4) http://i.imgur.com/pMdKbm0.png 5) everyone on the planet is a secret contract killer View Quote Loved the movie. Watching all his training videos it was cool to see it come to fruition. His reloads were awesome and that one handed press check was pretty cool. The suppressors in the subway was kinda lame but I'll let it slide. Keanu makes a hell of an action flick. |

Decided I would rather drink than carry, given the extremely low risk of a shootout in my local theater, so I concealed carried an IPA.
It was better than the first in some ways, most notably because the spectacular last gun battle in this one was much more impressive than the lame car chase / hand-to-hand fight at the end of the first one. Like the first, there is excellent set design and use of static shots and long takes instead of quick cuts and 'shaky' cameras. The stuntwork and choreography are as good as the first, and it seemed like there was literally twice the action and double the body count. It had some downsides. The underground shootout in Rome was too dark to fully appreciate. It should have quickly moved from the tunnel to a lighted area. Some parts of the shootouts have a repetitive, almost video game-like quality, and are not quite as creative or interesting as, say, John Woo's best work. Occasionally fights are jarringly presented out of order (beginning of fight, transition to post-fight scene, then the rest of the fight). Product placement was a little too blatant ('It's dangerous to go alone! Take this KIMBER.'). The mute character was used in a heavy-handed way. Why not just imply it, like with Oddjob from Goldfinger? I'm not sure the 'unconventional' subtitles are that necessary or neat, either. The plot is very thin (but so was the previous film's) and there is less emotional involvement with the main character this time around. The dialogue, especially from the protagonist, is laughably awkward. The gunshots were also really, distractingly loud. I don't know if that was due to the production itself or the theater's sound system. Objectively a B, but compared to most action movies in the last ten years it gets an A. |
