I have a 64 oz RTIC that I used only a couple times. Only used it for ice water and the water tasted like metal for some reason. And before anyone asks if I washed the thing, yes. I dawned and scrubbed the inside of that thing like it owed me money.
Anyone tips on getting rid of the funky taste? Or should i just mix a god tier size cocktail in it, or have some place fill it will overhyped beer? |

Get the 64oz
Pre chill in the freezer Pour five cold Landshark lagers in Pour three shots of freezer kept Bacardi Limon in Add a fat lime wedge Enjoy on a warm summer afternoon Thank me later |

I've quit using my nalgenes for anything but water because it's too difficult to clean when I leave shit in it. How is the metal for leaving stuff in it?
Edit: also what's diameter at the base like, fit in any cup holders? |

WTH ever happened to ''made in the USA'' Stanley Thermos's? Hell I have been using one for over 20 years and it keeps liquids hot or cold for as long as the ''new'' stuff. I can make coffee at 6AM and it's still too hot to drink at 6PM. It's dented, wobbles, been dropped off work trucks, equipment, pickup beds, and has a patina only a thermos that has ''been around'' can have. View Quote The last few ones I bought were junk. It was very disappointing. Thermos brand is still doing well. |

My ozark trail 30oz cups perform as well as Yeti at a fraction of the cost. Expecting the bottles to perform the same for a small fraction of the cost. |

Since we're showing off new OT stuff...
I know most everyone has heard about the 40oz tumblers, even if you can't find them but, who knew there was a 40oz powder coated OT tumbler? And just to show it's not one I had powder coated, here's the label with item number and UPC. Attached File |

And if someone tries to put them in the dishwasher they get kicked in the nuts. |

What am I missing here? I can't find either of these OT water bottles on the Wal Mart web site or anywhere else for that matter.
I love their tumblers but a sealed bottle would be much more ideal for on the go use. Is it so new it's not showing up online yet? |

Can you guys share the item number for the 36oz and the 64oz bottles?
Thanks |

Edit: also what's diameter at the base like, fit in any cup holders? View Quote Fine for both questions. It's metal, you can leave shit in there until it mutates into a living organism and all you have to do is wash it out with hot water and detergent and scrub the fuck out of it. Both the thirty and fo-tay ounce tumblers fit any standard cup holder. I used the RTIC cup handle on my 30 and it made the perfect balance on the cup so it wouldn't fall out with some sharp turns. Unfortunately, no one's making accessories fo da fo-tay yet... |

Get a big bottle brush, Bon Ami or Comet, and a power drill to clean out essence of coffee from an old thermos.
I checked my W-M for the new bottle. They aren't out yet. Things are changing over, but those aren't to be found. |

The larger tumblers were on clearance at the store in my hood for $7.74.

Picked up a 36. I can't think of a practical situation where the 64 would do me much good, but if you guys can talk me into it...Ill go back

Checked another store last night. They had a spot, but nothing on the shelf. So they're coming soon.

One of my local WWs had a couple of the 36 and 64 bottles on the shelf. Two of each followed
me home. |

Mine had both and for 15 bucks for the bigger one,it followed me home.

I just went hunting for the 'OT bottles' and bought the last 64 oz. version at my local WM for <$15.
They had plenty of the 36 oz. bottles, but only one of the bigger ones, so for $5 more, I went with that. It's got a welded seam on the inside, differing from the tumblers, as do the 36 oz. versions, as an FYI. I got it home, washed the cap, O-ring and insides with soapy water. Pre-heated it with ~110* tap water for 10 minutes, heated 64 oz. of water up to ~172.5*, poured that in and capped it. We'll see where it is in a few hours, as I just passed the 1 hour mark. Ambient temps here in Miami are about 76* in the kitchen. I have the new Bass Rape Shops spring & hunting catalogs here and they have the Yeti stuff listed, with their 64 oz. bottle selling for $89.99, lol. Chris |

But there are plenty of times when I want to take a lot of beverage somewhere and a cooler filled with ice isn't necessary or practical - 64oz of iced tea to a picnic, 64oz of cold water to a baseball game, 64oz of coffee or hot chocolate to a Christmas parade, 64oz of mixed drinks to the pool. The 64oz will get used a lot. |
