Never shot a UMP but I've had a yearning for it for so long. I was tempted to convert a USC at one point.

I'm even more tempted to buy an LWRC 45 smg. Looks insanely badass.

Costs about 6 times was a JRC 45 does.

Why does feeding from proper forward slanting magazines cost so much more than dumb looking glock mags?

Is there some barrier or special engineering challenge to get that tier 1 appearance of a magazine that is full strut toward the target?

Do you ever yearn?

In before get a glock mag lower like a plebe.

Is the LWRC even count as an AR?

Or is a US made UMP with some muscle memory from the AR carried over?

I am intrigued by the idea of getting one set up as a 45 ACP SBR. I would also be in the market for a short/fat 45 caliber suppressor. As for why... why not

What is different in that LWRC that it can have a folding stock and an AR can't. Serious question as I really want a folding stock AR that can fire in the folded position.

They used to make pistol ARs that did exactly that, Olympic arms comes to mind offhand. Didn't rock river too? They never really caught on.

Para TTR did that. I think it's the same design as the one listed above, just licensed to Para.

I know a gun shop local to me has one (Sportsman's Guns and Ammo in Conroe, TX). They aren't cheap $1800 ish.

I got to shoot the piss out of a demo UMP gun during qual that HK brought to the range one time.

There's no comparison between the UMP and the MP5.   Nobody who shot it could come close to matching their performance with the MP5.

It was designed because the FBI had a .45ACP fetish at that time and it's since become a dead letter as a duty use caliber.

Your post of that sexy critter in the SCR thread prompted this thread.

Have people used UMP mags in an AR45?

Tell us about your build I've never seen an upper like that.

if that is what it takes to get these going, I am all for it.
I am not sure which I want more though.
The bcg, spring and plug for the rear, or just the upper the way it looks, as I don't mind the buffer tube.
maybe if you start with one or the other.

I think the only available offering being made today is the Faxon ARAK upper: http://faxonfirearms.com/arak-21-upper-receiver/

Serbu also has a comparable upper that was supposed to come out, but so far that is vaporware.

All different animals, the LWRC 45 is blowback with a heavy rectangular bolt, the LR300/Para TTR are DI, and the Faxon is piston.
There's also the RRA PDS, which is a piston upper.

On my SBR?  Nordic Components CRS, got in on their first pre-production run for under $80.
Now discontinued, likely due to idiots trying to use them on shotguns and such expecting them to hold up to 12ga 00B...

Dammit.  I'm looking for a a telescoping stock for an ar.  Too bad it's discontinued.  You would think with PCC blowback uppers and piston uppers, someone would come up with one again.
