They probably already are.
Sign into the apps on your ipad with whatever ID you signed into them on your iphone. |

If you have your iPhone backed up to iCloud with the iMessage app included, then it will open on your ipad/mac.
If you don't back up messages to iCloud you're SOL. |

Imessages will go through. Not voicemail, unless you use an app.

Plug your phone into your computer and you can access it using the computer.

Use iTunes on your laptop to back it up. Then use iexplorer to extract text messages from backup.
