I think Beck saw himself as "graduating" from being just another Conservative talk show host and thought there was an unmet demand for a modern day, mass market "conservative" conspicuously grounded in religion.

There isn't.

Even Jesus would punch these commies in the face today.

I used to enjoy his show on FNC.  Since then, seems he went kooky. Now FNC has pretty much gone lefty. Watch very little of it now.

I quit listening to his garbage around 2 years ago and Dana Loesch around a year ago about the 13th or 14th day of all she did was bash Trump...

They restarted it.  But after a while they said "Ok, I remember why we stopped doing this"  It is too depressing talking to ordinary people and realizing how stupid they are.

I listen regularly and he's not as crazy as you guys say.  Now that Trump's elected he doesn't trash him.  But when Beck starts getting mawkish and sentimental about his family, that's when I have to change the channel.

Beck is just a media version of the GOPe. Trump was an outsider and that makes him a threat. Hillary would have just been business as usual for them. Then they could engage in meaningless gesture politics, pandered, and asked for funds.

His vainglory messiah complex has done him in.  From the article, he almost sounds like Jim Jones.

I haven't listened in well over two years. I would listen to him if I was in the car when his show was on. However, I got tired long before the political campaigns began. I don't recall when, but it was around the time  he began giving teddy bears and soccer balls to illegals that I started tuning him out. The Pat and Stu clown show also made it difficult to listen.  The Blaze website turned into click bait and gave my computer gonnasphyaherpalaids.

I believe his irrational antics was instrumental in sinking Cruz's presidential campaign. He initially alienated a large percentage of his audience by his continued venomous 3 hour daily semi-deranged disparagement of Trump. I knew it was over for Cruz when I saw that Beck "swore him in" and declared he had prayed for another George Washington and Cruz was it.

Or how about congratulating the 8 year old kid who was "fasting" for a Cruz victory?

I think Glenn Beck's downfall began when his truth telling about Obama was labeled as hate speech by the left and then Glenn Beck agreed with them.  Afterwards, people began voicing their concern about his new found viewpoint and Glenn Beck's response was for them to stop listening to his show if they didn't like it.

I guess he got his wish.

Too bad, because I think his reference to the book Philip Dru: Administrator is more relevant today than when he first brought it to everyone's attention.

For me it was the teddy bears, soccer balls, and cereal for MS-13 illegals a couple years ago.  And the whole line of how we must reconcile with our enemies.   How do you reconcile or compromise with those who want to destroy america?

Makes me sick to my stomach to see that...

Beck is a *complete* jackass for that stunt...

Humorously, it was an LDS leader who helped swing Michigan. And LDS Repubs were among the first and most-loyal establishment to support Trump alongside Sessions... The LDS did "rise" this election...

And the result was a defeated Hillary...

I've listened to AJ on and off since 1999, purely for entertainment value.  I remember when he was obsessed with the Reptilian aliens (as he called them, "The Reptoids!").

But we reached a point in 2016 when he was providing more facts in his broadcasts than the MSM.  His analysis of those facts was still mostly but the facts were there.  Just as you say, when he became more credible than the MSM, things were surreal.  But it happened!

Decisions have consequences.  I supported him for quite a while but he just went full retard a while back so I had to move on.

Say what you will about him but he was one of the first people in the media to really sound the alarm on the mooslim threat.

Glenn Beck and Megyn Kelly ought to get together and form their own network. Maybe invite Katie Couric.

They can call it the "I'm So Great" club. The bathrooms will be pristine because of all the stinkless shit.

Beck is and always has been a liberal. His show is a fake sham like Michael Savage's. These are people that saw an opportunity and took it without being based in conservative ideology. Mark Levin is another one of them. When all their family and friends are all liberal I think it speaks for itself about their true beliefs.  Think about it. How many liberals do the people on here hang out with? Who would go camping with Hillary? 1% maybe. I've always thought their messages were too canned and the Cruz stuff was nuts. The hard core Cruzers still hate Trump. It's all a toilet bowl of unflushable turds.

I enjoyed Beck's radio show until the fall of 2006, when he openly advocated for the Democrats to regain the majority in the House in a fit of pique against the Bush Administration. I had my own reservations about George W. Bush's leadership as President, but even a small-town nobody like me knew that giving the Democrats the House would be a disaster.

He went all the way off the rails in an appearance on NBC last Election Night:

Purporting to be the voice of conservatism while savaging Republican voters seemed to me to be a poor business decision. Apparently, it was.

bingo. i always got a chuckle out of the fanbois here. years ago before he got big he was on here for about 6months. he was shitcanned for being a fack conservative on a local talk radio station. his ratings were abysmal. 1 yr later he was back as an uber conservative. the only thing that changed was his marketing. he found a profitable niche and moved into it. i still do not believe he actually believed in any of the "conservative" views he preached. Beck is/was out for one thing. MONEY, simply look into his book pimping.

beck had a meltdown when he realized his credibility was gone and the money train was drying up. he tried to revamp it with the blaze and it turned into a dismal failure. the faster it failed the worse he got.

I think that the Blaze failed because Beck refused to seek outside funding to support the network. The immense nature of the task required substantial venture capital. That funding would necessarily seek to place some rational controls on Beck's behavior. This is at the core of his collapse. There were some quality shows on the system and I think that this was in large part due to the efforts of Christopher Balfe. Much of the collapse of the Blaze seems to have occurred after he left.

Independent of his political views, his radio show is boring and poor quality. He blathers on about stuff, with his in-studio peanut gallery only ever agreeing with him. There's rarely any insightful observation or non-obvious viewpoints. Guests are rare, and boring most of the time. I get the feeling that interesting guest conversations happen off the air, then they attempt, but fail to recreate them live. Beck also takes himself way too seriously most of the time. If I just hopped into my car, I won't understand why you're talking about the foster care system in hushed tones. Do some show prep, turn off the studio mics, and talk like a normal person.

I've listened to Beck for as long as I can remember, well before his TV show and fame. He used to be so much better back then, maybe better than Limbaugh. These days he's a sad joke. Maybe he can get a new team around him and recapture that mojo.

Some Air Force guy can comment about Meagain's brick-like trajectory and the slow descending crash she is involved in. As bad as Beck's position is, she is stuck working in an environment controlled by others and surrounded by many who hated her before she made the transition, knowing that it is only a matter of time until the bosses pull the plug. She doesn't have a friend there, and people she reached out to at Fox for advice basically shunned her after her antics there. She is the definition, "if you need a friend buy a dog".

When I listen to Savage it's for pure entertainment. From his demanding we stop Islamist and bitching about warmongering in the same paragraph to his barely coherent rants at people who call into his show.

He is best when he slips off his meds
