Now, I don't know if I would own one, but the wood on an AR look has got me thinking...

Maybe I have too much plastic in my life. I'm thinking about a wooden black rifle build.

I can't decide if I love or hate the Ares SCR, but that wood stock is giving me funny feelings.

Futuristic but old school at the same time. Like an alternate history Sturmgewher.

It looks like an AR and a Tommy gun's bastard love child, and I dig it.

I dig the apocalyptic look, it reminds me of the build a member here did and looks like the AR from Fallout New Vegas

I like wood.

The tactical look is overdone. I recently swapped the factory black textured stocks on my Trapper for walnut.

Just got my 1st wood AR stock - a $600 German laminated thumbhole I got used for $60.

Nah man, I gots fudd guns. Uberti 1873, Beretta Silver pigeon, Browning Xbolt, Winchester M77, Marlin 30-30.

Extremely cool.

The only reason I could fathom not to have those is that I would cringe a little each time that beautiful wood was scratched on a support surface. That doesn’t really bother me with plastic.

I’ve been looking for the perfect, matching M16A1 style furniture. Maybe it’s time to try making it.

First one needs a matching wood forearm with holes in it.

Second and third need the check piece removed.

Third needs a different foregrip.
