That's not a mistake, and it's not a simple video animation it is a full physics based simulation done to show how the rounds feed off the new feed lips of the magazine.  Modeling the chamber, extractor and ejector would have been a significant waste of time both for the modeler, and computing time.  It is easier to just allow the next cartridge to push the previous one down the oversize barrel

It's not mine, but it is the truth on why that looks like that.

You should see what it looks like with a bump stock.  Just a bumper to bumper row of those things spinning down the barrel.

Yea but does it rise when it leaves the barrel?
View Quote
Yes, bullets are designed to have natural buoyancy, causing them to arc upwards when they hit the air after leaving the barrel. That's why they're pointed, so they act like a wing or a boat's hull. Otherwise they would just fall to the ground as soon as they got a few feet away from the gun.

Bone up on aerodynamics before asking bonehead questions.

Yeah, that's super retarded. Without there being a hole in the primer, howinthehell are the flames gonna shoot out the back to propel the bullet down the barrel and make it go up and tumble an' shit?

Does not forgive them for not double checking the work, but they could also be on a shoe-string budget, most of their funds tied up in anti-trump propaganda and all...

Then it's worse than a mistake, it's half assed work that creates error down the road.

Don't use tools unless you use them correctly.  In this case, simply making the chambered case disappear would be an improvement.

Lulz. The only thing that would have been better was if it showed the bullet coming apart like a sabot slug when it left the barrel or maybe taking off like a rocket, propelled by the primer.

Ghosts of the bullets you shot.

It's why we developed ghost guns, to shoot ghost bullets.  Basically, doubling the size of your ammo fort.

You would be surprised at how common it is for people to think the entire case is shot.

I picked up the brass from my first .223 and drilled a hole through it, and then replaced the actual bullet with one I pulled. Made it into a necklace and one day I go in the bank and this dumb as fuck lady notices it showing partially and asks about it. I show it to her, and explain what it was. She is like mind blown, and asks how I found it after shooting it. I explain it to her 3 times, before just giving up. She just couldn't grasp that the entire thing wasn't launched down the range and into oblivion no matter how many times I explained that it was only the case, and the bullet itself was replaced.

I always used to think it was the extractor on my Sig 556 Patrols that kicked brass into the next county.

Now I know better, thanks to the Discovery channel

I'm going to start scoring my brass with a Dremel tool and make my own armor piercing discarding sabot rounds.

You know how lizards and insects and shit shed their exoskeleton so they can grow bigger? Fully semi automatic assault bullets do something similar when they get shot... What you're seeing is the bullet's shedded skin. It allows the bullets to stay small in the banana magazineclip (so you can fit more bullets in each clipazine to allow for longer bullet spraying), but then they grow to full size for maximum stopping power upon being fired.
