No doubt that is hauling ass but I bet the camera makes it seem a little more hair raising to the viewer than it is to the rider in motorcycle vids, due to the tunnel effect of the camera.

I have firsthand experience racing there, camera views definitely present a distorted view compared to what you actually experience.

So, is this just a copy of the Honda VFR?
Hardly. This is the sort of thing Honda should be making, but they've lost their way.

It’s a copy of the RSV4
Ahh no. The RSV4 has a 65 degree V-4, 180 degree offset crank.
The Panigale has a 90 degree V-4 with 70 degree offset crank. More comparable to an RC-30 and RC-45 engine (90 degree V, 360 degree crank) in the firing order. But the Duc has a reverse rotating crank.
Modern bikes don't have top speed governors. Speedos have simply been programmed to not read in excess of 185-188mph. And they're still notoriously inaccurate.
At Daytona on my RSV4 I've gone several mph faster than the indicated 186/7 max that it will display. But the actual speed of what would've been 190-something indicated was only 178mph actual per my AimSolo.
