I've been working with my Uncle on the Power Wagon he is giving me, and while I've been out there he's been sending me home with some things.  Mainly radios so far.

Heathkit Mohican

National Panasonic DR22 (Euro/Japanese market radio, US production is RF-2200)

WW2 surplus "Handie Talkie" SCR-536

WW2 surplus "Pogo Stick" SCR-511 (technically this is the BC-745, SCR-511 is the entire kit)

Nice haul. The Mohican is a good general coverage receiver that runs off of 8 "C" cells.

Obtaining batteries for the the BC-611 is a problem, but they are collectors items. If you can get the proper crystal andare licensed, it can be used on the 75 Meter ham band. Unforutanely, it's an amplitude modulated transmitter and just about every on the 75 Meter band runs Single Sideband mode. It only puts out about 1/4 Watt and the range was listed as about a mile, but this was highly optimistic.

I figure all of them but the Panasonic are going to be more of collector items and conversation pieces.

You'll end up enjoying the Panasonic more than you think.....

I've got a DR49 I've had for years and love it......the only issue with them is dirty switches/pots......

You might  be surprised what the Panasonic might bring. The ferrite

bar antenna on top should be able to rotate for crude direction finding.

I'd get the two radios working again, but I'm silly like that..

I've always had a fondness for Yaesu FT-101 series rigs...

And for Hallicrafters radios..

Your Panasonic is also the Panasonic RF-2200. It's a fantastic radio and I got one about 40 years ago. Still works great and is a very accurate analog radio, a great companion for any digital tuned radio especially for fast scanning through frequencies. Great BFO.  Heathkit and other radios like Hallicrafters brand are nice to have and use. I have a Halicrafters and they are great radios but if you have any humming noise that won't go way, you need to have the capacitors replaced (most likely it will be an issue unless it was repaired in that last 20 years.) Not a big deal as there are guys on the internet that can fix that. Awesome reception.

My uncle has a ton of radios.  And when I saw a ton, I mean a literal building full of them stacked on top of each other.  He has 3 Hallicrafters SX-28s
