Energy, you have to have energy. However, the "unionists" in Waikiki did have a "protest" a few years back. They were protesting that they were tired of working 2 jobs to make ends meet(food service) They wanted 24$/hr. cause they fucking deserved it. One guy had a sign wanting you to give him money(in HI). I told him if I were he/him I would fish and bring in tons of money that way. He agreed, but could hardly waddle afoot do to his obesity.

I can't remember a riot ever happening here. Just crime and looting on an individual basis after hurricanes and lava flows and stuff.
Generally things are tame on all the Pacific islands. Slower pace of life, different culture from the mainland. Asians make up the majority and a lot of them stress success, hard work, and close family. A person will bring shame to their family if they do something wrong. |

I had a buddy that was in the 25th ID and I want to say that they were locked down for a while and had 113's with M-2s at the front gate to keep things "peaceful". |

I was hoping to go back this year for LANPAC but the covaids fucked that. I had a great time there last year for a week though. I got a Mustang GT convertible for a rental. About the only thing I saw a lot of butthurt over when driving around Oahu was the locals trying to keep everything from getting over commercialized with condos/highrises and what not.
I was surprised by the amount of homeless and junkies in the parks 24/7 though. Definitely didn't remember that when I was there last in the mid-90s. I got the Loco Moco at the Hula Grill and had them throw some fried spam in there too and that was probably the most amazing dish i've had in my worldly travels. I didn't eat anything for about a day I was so full after putting that whole thing down.
