Congrats brother!  She’s a looker.  Still on the island?  Let’s link up one of these days.  My first foray into the world of Porsche is being delivered next week.

ETA - I got to drive it last time I visited their shop (he’s been bugging me to since he know I want a manual car). This is a Deman conversion so it drives and sounds like a GT Mustang in a little Cayman body. I swear the clutch takes about 20 lbs of pressure to engage, however.

Yeah, one of the few reasons the centerlock wheels are on my "Not right now" list. I just worry about dealing with a flat on the road.

I’m dropping the GT3 off on Monday for a complete XPEL Stealth wrap. I’m thinking about adding these stripes to it as well. I think it will look great. Thanks for the push in the right direction.

It's nice that Porsche allows you to spec your car exactly the way you like.  But.... that freedom comes at a cost:

Yeah I threw up in my mouth a little.

My neighbor (southwest airlines pilot) is looking at jumping back into a 911 and we got to test drive a few here in SATX.  I didn't know I was missing anything with my car until I saw some of the leather upgrades, cooled seats, and the extra power the S comes with.  I wish I hadn't seen or drove the other cars, now I want to look at the S.

*sigh*

I’m pretty sure I’m picking my car up tomorrow from having the Xpel Stealth wrap with stripes. The part that is a little frustrating is the rear bumper emblems. They left them off stating “they couldn’t get them back on straight” and “the emblem templates cost thousands of dollars”

Which of course they don’t. I bought one tonight from Suncoast for less than $200. I’ll do it myself, which is fine. I just don’t get the logic.

Why not buy the template and add it to the cost of the job? At the price for a full wrap, $200 isn’t anything. And you now have a template for that car that you can use over and over and over…

I’m probably being stupid. Anyway…..the wrap looks fucking killer. Can’t wait to get it home.

Almost anything.  I was in the market for wife’s new suv.  Wanted the Cayenne Turbo GT with body colored accents to replace the matt plastic trim surrounding wheel arches and trim below doors.    Also wanted the sports design package that is available on lesser versions of suv.   Price before my requests was approaching 240k and was told nope,  can’t be done.
Granted I could paint/wrap parts that I found objectionable but I don’t want to do that.

Placed order for Audi’s new RSQ8 performance that just unseated the Cheyenne GT as worlds fastest SUV.
For those who are unaware, the Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini share same platform, owned by same company.  Odd that they allowed the entry level version of platform to take the pole position for 2/3 of the price of Cayenne.

You’re buying based on the spec sheet. People buy the Cayenne because it’s a Porsche and some of the intangibles that come with that. The depreciation is also better on the Cayenne than the RSQ8.

I have bought 5 Audis, 2 Porsches and 1 Lamborghini since 2001.  I know what I am getting into and could care less about depreciation as I have handed them down to family members as I get new ones.
Audis were better for WA weather due to awd but now that I spend 9 months year in Florida, trending towards Porsche and Lamborghini.
If I followed specs/trends I would not have ordered one of the last Evo spyders rolling off the production line.   It’s already obsolete compared to what else is out there at half the price.   Don’t care, love the way it looks.

I agree with you that the RSQ8 is the better value for the features equipped.

Love the matte! Trying to figure out what color to wrap mine in. Bored of basic silver. Hides the dirt and grime well, but it gets washed when the smallest amount of dust settles.
